Units assist on Downtown Mt Airy 3 alarm Fire

On Sunday September 2nd 2007 RE153, ET154, ET254, E251, U15, & C15 responded with a total of 16 personnel to downtown Mt Airy for a report of a building fire. RE153 arrived and took a position on Side-C advancing a line to the main fire building. All other units assisted on the fireground with heavy duty operations and water supply. Units cleared at approx. 1330hrs. NMVFD also managed to keep a ambulance in service at both Stations.

On November 30th 2007 RE153, A158 & D15 responded with a total of 8 to a report of a vehicle accident with entrapment at I-70 & RT-75. Upon arrival of Duty-15 he advised he had a single car collision with one trapped. RE153 arrived and extricated a single patient from the vehicle. A158 handled pt care. D15(Lawson) had the I-70 command. Units packed up and were going home within a hour.

 



Old National Pike Entrapment

On December 21st 2007 RE153, A158, A159, D15 & EMS15 responded with a total of 13 to a report of a vehicle accident with entrapment at RT144 & Bartholows Rd. Upon arrival of Duty-15 he advised he had a two car collision with one trapped. RE153 arrived and extricated a single patient from the vehicle. A158 handled pt care and A159 obtained a refusal. D15(Lawson) had the RT144 command. Units packed up and were going home within a hour. Units responding were: A158, A159, CCLS1, RE153, D15, CCR1, E251, TRPR3 & EMS15.

 



Green Valley Road Entrapment

On Wednesday December 26th 2007 RE153, A158, C15, D15, EMS15 responded with a total of 12 personnel to RT75 at I70 for a report of a vehicle accident with entrapment. RE153 and D15(Lawson) extricated two victims from the vehicle.  A158 and EMS15 provided patient care. C15(Yankey) had the command. Units cleared in approx. 1hr. 



Early Morning Fatal on I-70

On December 31st 2007 RE153, A158, ET154 & C15 responded with a total of 8 to a report of a vehicle accident with ejection at I-70 & Bill Moxley Rd. Upon arrival of RE-153(Lt Scott) they found 1 car and two large trucks involved in MVC with traumatic injuries. RE153 began patient care and hazard assesment. C15(Yankey) had the I-70 command. Units packed up and were going home within 5 hours.
