New Malden Woodcraft Folk

Span the world with friendship

Welcome to the New Malden Woodcraft Website

New Malden Woodcraft are part of the national Woodcraft organisation, whose aims are to promote co-operation, friendship and peace amongst young people within the groups themselves, with other Woodcraft groups and young people's groups in other countries who are affiliated to the Folk. Children can join at 6 years old as Elfins or even younger if there is a Woodchip group. The other age groups are Pioneers (10-12) Venturers (13-16) and beyond that young people can become DFs or District Fellows until the age of 21.

We meet weekly during term time and have a varied programme of educational and fun activities. Many activities are based around badgework with themes such as health, ecology and the Country Code. We also do crafts, co-operative games, singing and dancing.

We often go on walks, hikes and rambles. We also have trips away camping and hostiling. One of the places we go often to is the Old Pheasantry where the boys and girls sleep in dorms and everybody has a great time.
