Hello I hope you are well, I don’t know about you but I cannot believe it is March already it only seems 5 minutes ago I was wishing you a Merry Christmas. Thank you so much for all the lovely cards I received.

Right, whats been happening since I last spoke to you?

Play area development

The under 7’s area is now complete. J

And these pictures are just the images I have dreamt about for a very long time. I have posted pictures of the development as it was being erected on the website if you want to check them out, even starting with the arrival of the lorry!!

The goal posts have just been ordered for the football area and the land still has to be prepared, we are hoping this will all be done very soon then we will hold a grand opening event, details of this will be sent to you as soon as we have a date fixed.

Then as and when funds come in we will be installing a double swing unit.

Estate matters

*A change in the design of the communal blue bins – hopefully this has improved the problem of bin misuse.

* Amenity fund 2007 - Ł1.250 is available to be spent on estate improvements, therefore we are appealing for any suggestions you may have, so if you think of anything please let us know. In previous years we have purchased notice boards, security lighting, communal fencing etc.

*The committee - Even though we only have 7 members the Newlarks committee is a very strong and pro-active committee it may take us some years to get ‘some’ things done (flooding, play area for example) but we never give up. Thankfully most issues are solved very quickly! It is very rewarding knowing you have been part in making the estate or people’s lives better in some way. We are however always in need of ‘new blood’ (and especially new ideas) we meet at Vinnicombe Court on the last Wednesday of the month at 6.45pm you are welcome to pop along and see what we are up to. Members from both St Caths & Woodlark are required (we have not had a tenant from Woodlark Close on the committee for some years) so if you fancy being involved in the decisions concerning your estate please contact Ron on 683341, Kate on 404296, or email newlarks@ntlworld.com alternatively just turn up!
