New Kids from the Heart began back in 1990, as three friends finding something in common and getting together once a week to talk about it. We started with the name "Girlz in the Hood", then "The Girlz Crew", and finally came up with New Kids from the Heart. NKOTB were something special, and we felt closer just knowing we shared a special love for them. These three girls were myself, my cousin Jenae and my best friend, Joanna Harbour. Eventually we got a few of our friends to join and our "club" grew to eight members. The club remained at eight members, until the summer of 1993, when Joanna and I decided to branch out and become a snail mail fan club. We sent out over 30 fliers to NKOTB fans whose addresses we found in magazines and pen pal friendship books. The official New Kids on the Block fan club had recently ended, and I felt it was my duty to keep spreading news to the fans, to the best of my ability. Throughout the years, through members, their pen pals, cousins, sisters, etc. we grew to over 200 members in over 20 countries. It was an amazing, fun project that I will never forget. Being a fan was a bonding experience back then and I feel that it is still the same today. That is why I wanted to create this site. On this site you will find current info on the guys, reminisce of the past, connect and hopefully get to know each other better.
