Newcastle Area Chamber Opera's debut performance in June 2007 is Handel's first London opera 'Rinaldo' with a international cast.
Our next performance is a concert version of Brundibar by Hans Krasa in partnership with Newcastle Music Service and St Nicholas Cathedral, Newcastle, Music Department.
Future performances include fully staged performances of Britten's 'Curlew River' directed by international heldentenor and director of OperaLab, Gilles Denizot, concert versions of Mozart Operas and school performances of scenes from famous operas and of course our concert series and masterclass series.
NACHO have been invited to present a full day workshop 'unwrapping an opera' by Sunderland Music Service. The workshop will involve all aspects of theatre production and presentation including composition, stage management, lighting, drama, music, voice, make-up and wardrobe as well as a presentation of the work done during the day. Details will be announced shortly.
