Busch Series and Cup Racing from Last Week

7.24.06: Busch series racing took place last Thursday night at Martinsville. Nick Silver was the only NAR driver to start the race. Little did he know just how tough that night would be. It started by him blowing 4th gear during a green flag run, then under caution, blowing 2nd gear. Silver was still competitive running on 2 gears and pulled of a 3rd place finish, keeping him in the BGN points lead. Last night, the Cup cars took to the track at Pocono. Nick Silver and Levi Krauss were the NAR drivers for this race. Nick brought out the first caution with a self spin in turn 3, damaging his back end. A little wedge tightened the car up and it was as good as new. Krauss had a strong run at the beginning of the race, but after getting involved in an accident, he was never the same. Bringing him an 8th place finish while Silver won the race, leading 39 of the 80 laps run.

NSW SS Race at Daytona

7.12.06: NAR teammates Nick Silver and Levi Krauss got edged out in last night's Superspeedway race at Daytona. Both ran great races along with other teammate Bob Ross. Ross's chances for a win ended rather early when his car lost control and hit the outside retaining wall. Two cautions came into play last night, first one was a 4 car accident that included Nick Silver, although Silver received no damage. The next caution came a few laps after the restart. Nick Silver and Levi Krauss teamed up on the final lap on the outside line, trying to beat #6 Gary Bell back to the line. But Gary, who led the most laps that night, edged out Silver by 0.05 seconds. Awesome win Gary!
