Pyramid farm an area of 160 acres of which eighty percent is native bush situated on the northern banks of The Nile valley with fantastic views over the Northern Paparoa National park and only twenty minutes form the Pancake rocks of Punakaiki.

Upon the farm there are beautiful bush walks, at night you can see Glow worms and the native Kiwi can sometimes be seen and often heard .The sunsets seen from the farm stay home are some of the most spectacular to be seen anywhere in the world . With the sea, only a few hundred meters away Seals and penguins can be seen along unspoilt coastline with the majestic Paparoa mountain range as a backdrop.

The Nile valley (Waitakere in Maori) offers amazing walks and a fantastic caving adventures underworld rafting through an ancient wonderland of stalactites, stalagmites and galaxies of glow-worms. This is one of the few caves in the world you can walk through and see in its natural, unspoilt state.

The home stay for students is a beautifully restored 1930 3-bedroom two-bathroom bungalow with large lounge, dinning area and sunroom situated on a terrace commanding great views of the valley and sunsets.

Pyramid farm offers you a home to come to and experience nature and see the beauty as well as improve your English at the same time. Accommodation and food are included in the fee of $390.00 per week per student; this is a total immersion into the English language, as you will be communicating in English 100% of your time spent with us enjoying a learning experience in one of the worlds most scenic areas .

It has only two land mammals ( both bats ) although seals whales and dolphins abound around the coasts . Flightless birds, a diversity of lizards, giant snails, primitive frogs and plants that are as old as the dinosaurs combine to make New Zealand unique .

NILE VALLEY MANUKA HONEY

Nile valley Manuka Honey comes from our farm here in the valley, We produce Manuka honey which is well known for its healing qualities and great taste.

We also produce Rata honey from the centre of the southern Alps of the south island.

This superb quality honey, from the borders of the Paparoa National Park, on the South Island's West Coast, has a flavour all of it's own. It can be used medicinally and is delicious as a spread or a drink - very soothing for sore throats.

With this honey's impressive accreditation you can be confident that your purchase is 100% genuine. It has NOT been heat treated to artificially increase bio activity and maintains its original golden colour.
