The Guardians of Time are a syndicate with members that risk the very existence of their souls to go back in time and ensure that the Order of Chaos does not alter the course of history to make the present more in their favour.

Each of the opposing groups is led by one of two powerful immortal siblings. Both immortals have numerous faithful and treacherous followers, most of which posses two paranormal gifts.

The plot of the three books mainly focus on the exciting, dangerous adventures in the romantic lives of specific young members of the Guard that unfortunately were bestowed with considerably less-than-perfect home lives. Each of them are referred to in an ancient Prophecy, which declares that for some of them a tragic death is inevitable.
