NETSUA.com Pictures: Paris 2005
There's Dad enjoying life drinking coffee and eating a croissant. But the paper he's reading talks all about people dying. That just about ruined the moment.
That's Mom standing in front of the Pompidou Museum, a very.... interesting and modern type of museum.... that was built... inside..... out...... Hmph.

Inside the Pompidou Museum there was a very, very long corridor. To bad that crowd is in the way so you can't see the end of it.

This is just an average alley in Paris. The architecture is beautiful. The re-creation in Disney World actually wasn't that bad, it looked quite a bit like this...
One of the many, MANY enterances to the Louvre Museum where Mona Lisa sits with here secret messages (as said by "The DaVinci Code) Here's the famous pyramid that is inside the Louvre. It's really cool in real life, a lot better than the pictures.
Up, up, up we go on the esculator to see a nice view and lots of nice artwork that after 2 or 3 of them REALLY does get boring.
here's that view! It was taken through the window of the Louvre building. The glass Pyramid is just to the left, but you can see the Eiffel Tower from here.

Then we got lost looking for some famous place to eat. That's the thing with famous places - they're always hard to find.

So we went to a little park, and I took a picture of myself LOOKING like I didn't care, just to try to get a picture that doesn't look like I took it myself.
Some old guy (ok, a very kind elderly man with wrinkles) and some young kids were feeding birds on a fountain. I really like this picture. And Dad took his one and only picture for the Vacation here, so of course I had to document it because it's a once-in-a-lifetime event.
It think that this was a bank or something. Nice angle, it kind of pops out of the picture the way that the picture is set up.
We met Arlene there and she showed us her house (okay, really, REALLY nice house) and we sat around and talked and had fun.

The D'orsay Museum which was originally an old train station. Well, I thought that these columns would make a cool shot.

Here's a great picture of Dad smiling one night at dinner. Really great picture, Dad's smile really is great.
Then another night with Dad and Mom. I like this picture even more than the last one. The flash reflection on the wine glasses are nice. Then on ANOTHER night some passing French person (big surprise, huh?) took this picture of all 3 of us. The background is really cool.
