Before dinner in Portland we had a drink at an ocean-side kind of place. And there's Dad with his new glasses darkening in the bright sun. |
Of course Mom was there too, and I got a picture of her so you could see the docks behind me in her sunglasses. |
This is about the best picture that I have of me from the whole trip! (actually there are only like two, so that's not saying much.) |
|
One of the streets of Portland. It was really nice there. Especially since they had an INTERNET CAFE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
We took a walk the next morning and I got some of the boats with the sun coming up. I really like how the sun looks. |
The walk that we took followed an abandoned train track. And there were a few abandoned trains on them! So I got on one! |
|
Finally, back in Driftwood Inn, the nicest place in the world. Anyway, that's the cabin that we stayed in for a week. |
This is right near the cribstone bridge; it's the view out of one of the windows of Cook's restraunt. Nice place. And as Mom would say "Nice lobster" |
Coming out of Cook's I just had to get this picture of the flag billowing in the wind. It looks great hwo it's lit up an how the exposure is very long. |
|
This is Mackeral Cove! It's the biggest part of Bailey Island where fisherman capture lobster! There was also a rope swing nearby that was really cool... |
We went to the beach one day (when if FINALLY stopped raining) and Here's a picture of Mom. You cans see that there's a sandbar way out there. |
We also went hiking (again, when it wasn't raining) and here's a picture of Dad while hiking. I thought that was pretty obvious. No? Hm. |
