Trackname: Willow Point
Originally started out as an attempt to create willow springs. However i abonded it very early on, and made this instead.
Bugs: Open Gl may or may not display correctly textures, please let me know, and how to fix. I use d3d in the game, and sandbox sometimes is innacurate at the textures.
Description:
This is a 3.182 mile 16 Turn Fictional Road Course that i've built.
Turns 1 and 2 are indianapolis style turns, but the they are only banked 3 degrees, so you gotta be careful, otherwise you'll be in the fence.
There is a short straight of approx 450ft leading to turn 3.
Turn 3 is a gentle right hander in radius. Don't be fooled that it is gentle though because it is banked at 10 degrees, and the pit exit is on the left so you have to be careful going thru it. It's nickname is Hogs-Back, after a street in Ottawa.
Turn 4 follows an approx 800ft straight, it is the start of the esses they are banked as follows, 4 @ 3.44, 5 @ 4.99, 6 @ 4.81, this set of turns leads you onto the "short" back stretch.
Turn 7 is my favorite turn on this course "Nürburgring" as I called it is a 20 degree turn that if you miss the entry you will have to drive around the flat top part of the turn. The exit of this turn is key as it leads onto the fastest part of the the track, the back stretch.
Turn 9 is "Casino", it is also a corner flatly banked with a purpose. This is the start of a series of 90 degree turns in succession.
Turn 10 is dunlop which is banked 3 degrees and leads you to Turn 11, "Ascari" also at 3 degrees. On the short straight from casino to Ascari you pass under the dunlop bridge. At the exit of ascari, you begin the carousel, which is a flat left-hander of decreasing radius.
Turn 13 is an uphill righthander with the pit entrance starting on the left.
Be careful thru here as Turn 14 sneaks up on you just after the crest of the hill. It is a 90 degree with a short straight leading to Turn 15 which gives you you're last chance to pit, lol.
Be careful going thru 16, as the grass wall sneaks up on you on exit, and it can cause violent flips if unprepared.
Now onto the front straight which is bumpy, (on purpose lol), this is to try and separate the men from the boys leading into turn 1.
