12.9.2008 Wilda has A-HIPS!!!

8.9.2008 Nerian Bona Dea has been a joy to show lately, now just before retirement she has found the joy of running in the ring and it has led to some really nice results like at Tampere groupshow with 20 entered she was second best bitch and now her being BOS at Helsinki Nat... Escort's Bernard le Blanc got EXC2. There is many other thing to be excited about... She is going to be shown next weekend with her new continental cut.

26.8.2008 We have been showing a lot lately: Nerian Candelifera "Fea" started her show carreer very nicely being BB3 with res-CAC on Heinola all breeds.

Yesterday Nerian boys Crinisus and Cadmus were on Valkeakoski show yesterday. Crinisus won junior class and were BD3 with res-CAC. Cadmus was BD4. 

I'll add more results later.

10.8.2008 On friday Wilda was working as a therapy dog again. She loves it. So many new people, and she gets to be the centre of all the attention. This time she made depressed people fealing better.

On saturday we went to Helsinki dogshow with Nerian Bona Dea "Namu" (first time in a champion class) and Escorts Bernard Le Blanc "Filip" (youth class). Namu was 3rd best bitch and Filip 3rd best male with Res-CAC. I was so happy for Filip being "excellen in quality" , but he needs to learn how to behave in the ring... trying to chase other dogs just is not the thing..  Well.. The rabbit season is just starting =)..

Sufficiently square masculine dog, still a youngster, but already good outline & shows with proud head carriage, sufficiently dark eye, long face, good chiseling, good neck & forechest & tight feet. Slightly long in loin, good strong hindquarters with strong hocks, good coat texture for age, good drive from behind, touch untidy in front, needs time but cannot deny excellent

20.7.2008 NERIAN BALDER won JH-competition with Johanna, they also were first with blue ribbons and ended up BIS4 on a match show.

9.6.2008 I have brought some new pictures to this website.. Some of them are not even new, but this is the first time that I've had a time to sit down and download them from camera.

Yesterday we visited Satu Puikkonen at Kennel Lost Heavens. She has one of her white baby boys available for an active home. Here he is... Kissing again =)

24.5.2008 Was a day for a Hamina Int.. Well what can I say about that.. I thought I had two dogs entering that show, but I think it was thursday when I came back home and discovered that Filip had tried to get higher rank in our doggy-family... At the result of this he had two toothmarks on his face. So we had to start giving antibiotics to him. Now he is just fine, but at the show I was a bit sad, cause there was no other dogs entering... Next time with better luck i hope.

NERIAN BONA DEA on the other had did pretty well and placed 2nd best bitch with res-CAC and res-CACIB.

19.5.2008 Viime viikonloppua viettelin reissaamalla ympäri Suomea C-pentujen viimeisten pentuluokkien merkeissä.

Lauantaina Tampereella oli mustan pojan Nerian Cum Haun "Elviksen" ensimmäinen pentunäyttely, jossa poika upealla Juha Palosaaren arvostelulla Kp, PU2. Pientä kehätreeniä vielä, niin hyvä tulee! Poikaahan kuvailtiin arvostelussa mm. komeaksi ja upea runkoiseksi, joten potentiaalia kyllä löytyy.

Sunnuntaina Joensuun ihanassa räntä-lumi-vesisateessa valkoinen uros Nerian Corus "Luka" oli ROP-pentu. Lukahan oli myös ensimmäistä kertaa kehässa, tuomarina tuolloin Eeva Resko.

 Kiitoksia molemmille perheille mukavasta näyttelyviikonlopusta ja erityiskiitos Matikaisille yöpymispaikasta. Arvosteluja tulossa foorumille!

Last weekend I was on both days out with Sera's pups (our C-litter) and they did very well.

10.5.2008 Oli Nerianeille hieno päivä. Nerian Cadmus "Camu" oli viimeisen kerran pentuna näyttelyssä ja oli ROP. Tuomarina oli Gert Christensen Tanskasta. Samana päivänä Nerian-kasvatteja kokoontui 8 perheineen (Balder, Cum Hau, Crinisus, Carmenta, Coventina, Candelifera, Cressida + C-pentujen Olle isukki) Nerian Castalian kotiin hevostila Hippiinaan Karvialle. Kuvia pentuleiristä on luvassa hieman myöhäisemmässä vaiheessa. Kiitos ihanista päivistä kaikille paikalla olleille ja etenkin Honkasille kotinsa ovien avaamisesta ryhmä rämän käyttöön =)

26.4.2008 Olle (Party-line's Star Trek) took part at Lahti Int and was juged by Markku Kipinä. With nice critiques he was 2nd best dog with Res-CACIB. Wish I would have had more time to prepair him for the ring, but we had litlle supsises on the way like the the Andis clipper I have stopped working etc... But Olle had fun, that's the most important thing!

13.4.2008 Nerian Castalia and Cadmus took part at groupshow in Kankaanpää. Both kids looked really nice and received nice critiques from judge Juha Putkonen. I planned to put their critiques here, but there is some problems with our Forum, where their owners had written them. Hopefully the problem will solve itself.

So Nerian Cadmus "Camu" went BOB-pup and his sister Castalia "Dalia" BOS-pup.

Later that evening we spent sometime downstairs as usual at sunday.. Here is what our litlle ESCORTS-boy lookes like now! Just a litlle bit longer coat on the neck and Filip will start his show career.

26.3.2008   Pääsiästä C-pentueen mustat pojat Crinisus ja Cadmus kävivät viettämässä Kokemäellä 22.3.  Tuomarina oli Tanya Ahlman-Stockmari ja arvostelut olivat hienoja... Huolimatta siitä, että olin angiinassa ja varsin kipeä käydessäni pojat trimmaamassa. Täytyy ilmeisesti alkaa laittamaan koiria "koomassa" enemmänkin, jos sillä ryhmäsijoituksia irtoaa =). Viikko saikkua sillä ainakin tuli, eli nyt ehdin vähän päivitellä näitä sivujakin taas pitkästä aikaa. Sairasloma tuli hyvään saumaan, nimittäin meillä on ollut täällä kohta pari viikkoa B-pentueesta Bragi kylässä, kun omistajat ovat olleet Thaimaassa lomailemassa. Hauska poika kaikin puolin, on erityisen rakastunut Seraan kun sillä on juoksu. Sera taas ei rakasta Bragia pätkääkään, ainakaan vielä pariin päivään, kunnes tyttö on tärpeillä.

Puhuin tuossa yhden ystävän kanssa puhelimessa toissapäivänä ja sain vähän satikutia, kun en kuulemma kierrä kehissä enää =).. Kieltämättä on vierähtänyt hetki kun olen omieni kanssa näyttelyssä ollut, joten otin ja ilmoitin sitten Ollen Lahteen. Sinne me nyt sitten mennään näyttämään mustan miehen uutta continentalia..  Ja onhan tässä nyt näyttelyissä oltu... C-pentujen kanssa Kaapelitehtaalla, nyt maanantaina Lappeenrannassa kehäsihteerinä ja oli sinne Kokemäellekin oli tarkoitus lähteä, mutta reissu tuon sairastelun vuoksi lyhentyikin vain trimmi-keikaksi. Ei sitä ollut siksi tullut huomanneeksikaan, että on viimeksi itse ollut näytteilleasettajana 9.9.07 kun N. Bona Dea "Namu" sai 2. sertinsä!

Crinisus "Crino":   Ryhdikäs. Erinomaiset rungon mittasuhteet. Riittävä kaula. Erinomainen ilme. Hyvin kulmautunut ja rakentunut edestä. Vahva runko. Hyvät suorat eturaajat. Syvä musta väri. Hyvät käpälät. Erinomainen lihaskunto ja luonne. Hieman iloinen häntä. Etuliikkeiden tulee vakiintua.

TULOS: KP, PU1, RYP3 / HP, BD1, BIG3

Cadmus "Camu":   Erinomaisella ulottuvuudella liikkuva hyvän kokoinen uros. Kaunis ylälinja. Pitkä pää jossa voisi olla vankempi alaleuka. Hyvä eturinta ja runko. Riittävä kaula. Hyvät käpälät. Erinomainen musta väri. Hieman löysiä huulia. Erittäin kaunis hännän kanto. Esiintyy hyvin.

2.3.2008    Koitti C-pentujen ensimmäisen pentunäyttelyn aika. Tuomarina muistaakseni Paula Valakari ja pentueesta paikalla Crinisus ja Casimir. Casimir sijoittui luokassaan kolmanneksi mustan veljensä ollessa saadessa KP:n ja PU2. Kuvia lisätään myöhemmin. 

 

3.1.2008   Hyvää uuutta vuotta!

Aloitin meidän sivuille foorumin, vaikka alkuperäiseen suunnitelmaan se ei kuulunut. Pääkaupunkiseudulla alkaa olla mukava porukka kasassa ja olisi ihanaa saada muutkin pentujen omistajat osallisiksi, myös ne joita ei välimatkojen takia ihan kaikilla tapaamisilla nähdä. Joten sinne mars! Toinen osuus foorumissa on sellainen, jos jollakin herää jotain kehitysideoita, kysymyksiä meidän koirista, tulevista pentueista jne. niin niitä voi laittaa sinne.

Toisetkin leikkitreffit siis olivat Haltialan tilalla 30.12 ja suuri kiitos kuuluu jälleen Raijalle porukan kokoon kutsumisesta. Kuuden pennun voimin (Carmenta, Candelifera, Coventina, Casimir, Cadmus ja Camros) tuulisella pihalla viiletettiin ja kaikki näyttivät nauttivan täysin rinnoin. Itse emme ensimmäisellä kerralla päässeet mukaan, mutta nyt oli jo ihan mukava päästä näkemään lapsosia, sillä kaikkia en niistä ollut sitten luovutusiän tavannutkaan. Hyvin olivat lapset kasvaneet ja tällä hetkellä näyttäisi siltä, että kaikille tulee oikeat purennatkin - osalla toki vielä kesken vaihtuminen. Erityisen ihanaa oli huomata rauhallisesta Mintusta kasvaneen sellaisen tehoviilettäjän ja oikean linssiluden, kun kamera kaivettiin esiin, oli Minttu heti paikalla! Paikalla olleet saavat vapaasti kopioida pentugalleriaan pian päivitettäviä kuvia. - linkki etusivun lisäksi tossa enkuksi kirjoitetussa tekstissä.

I started a forum at our website so that we could get those puppybyers that doesn't live next door to us or the puppydate gang to be a part of our litlle group. and change experiences. I thought that the blog was nice, but not everybody has been able to see it for some reason, so here it comes. Poodle section is ment to quoestions about our dogs, future litter etc. what comes to your mind after visiting this site.

30.12.07 We went to Helsinki and took part to a C-litters playdate. There were six puppies taking part: Carmenta "Minttu", Candelifera  "Fea", Casimir "Sasu", Coventina "Lumi", Cadmus "Camu" and Camros "Milou". And they had so much fun. Pictures will be added to puppygallery.

 

Olemme HauvaVauva-lomalla, näyttelytuloksia luvassa vasta kun pentukiireet helpottavat.

Näin vuoden loppuun olen tottunut tekemään pientä yhteenvetoa kuluneesta vuodesta:

FIN MVA, JV-02 EMBERIZA ICE WIND "Enda" viettelee ansaittuja eläkepäiviään lyhyessä turkissaan, nätti meitin mamma on sittenkin.

JOINER'S QUALITY YEMERI YASMIN "Sera" mursi varpaansa kevään kynnyksellä ja jäi valioitumatta ennen pentujaan. Vieläkin harmittaa se Ristiinan näyttelyn meneminen mönkään, ensin kunnostin koiraa myöhäiseen yöhön ja aamulla se ulkona pissillä käydessään satutti varpaansa ja homma valui hukkaan. Sera astutettiin sitten kuitenkin, vaikkei valionarvoa ehtinytkään saada, olihan se jo päälle 3.5. Sera se sitten pyöräytti täyden tusinan 6 mustaa ja 6 valkoista, joissa kummassakin sukupuoletkin jakautuivat tasan. Hauskaa niissä oli sekin, että kun jäljellä oli 4 pentua oli myymättä vielä 2 kumpaakin väriä, 1 kumpaakin sukupuolta!

TUSSILULL'S ANGELICQE "Angie" on ollut ihan kotikoirana suurimman osan vuodesta - syksyllä emme enää ehtineet tokoryhmäänkään ja tottis onkin siirtynyt ihan kotipihan harrastamiseksi. Tyttösellä havaittiin myös ruoka-aine yliherkkyys, joka kovin herkästi tulehduttaa pikkuisen korvat. Jalostuskäyttöönhän tyttöä ei oltu enää aikoihin suunniteltukaan, joten ihan ok.

FIN MVA GUNPOWDER'S CRAZY GIRL "Wilda" Valioitui 5:nnen näyttelynsä kunniaksi ja suunnitelmissa oli tytön lähteminen Ruotsiin kasvattajansa kanssa näyttelyitä kiertelemään, valitettavasti kasvattajan elämäntilanne muuttui joten samoin kävi suunnitelmien ja tyttö on siis ollut kotona. Pentuja tuolle on suunniteltu ensivuodelle, ei todennäköisesti nyt tämänhetkisestä juoksusta, kun näitä Seran pentuja on vielä 2 ja tykkään pitää pientä taukoa pentueitten välillä, niin jaksaa taas uudella innolla uusien pentujen kanssa touhuta.

Escorts kennelistä Ruotista meille saapui keväällä valkoinen varsin tyypikäs nuori mies kutsumanimeltään Filip. Flipperi kasvattelee ison pojan turkkiaan ja tulee kehiin todennäköisesti kesän kynnyksellä.

S, FIN MVA PARTY-LINE'S STAR TREK "Olle" kotiutui meille loistavasti ja on ollut aivan mahtava iskä pennuilleen aina siitä lähtien kun ne syntyivät. Aina kun Seran silmä vältti oli Olle pentulaatikossa pesemässa lastensa takapuolia =) Olle on kotona vaihtamassa trimmiä ja palaa näyttelyihin todennäköisesti kevättalven puolella - riippuen vähän tuosta C-pentujen pentunäyttelykäyntien määrästä.

NERIAN BONA DEA "Namu" teki jättiyllärit saadessaan ensimmäisen sertinsä Tampereen kansainvälisestä näyttelystä ja kaiken kukkuraksi toisen vielä syyskuussa - senkin Tampereella. Namu asustelee edelleen sijoituskodissaan espoossa.

NERIAN CANDELIFERA "Fea" on Helsingissä asusteleva sijoitusnarttu, valloittava energinen möllykkä. Fea tulee muiden pentujen kanssa ottamaan osaa pentunäyttelyihin kun ikää vaan kertyy.

9.9.2007 Nerian Bona Dea "Namu" took part in dog show that was held at Tampere.

Judge Rodney McDowell wrote following critique:

"Very nice pigment. Good balanced head. Nice correct coat. Good anglulations. Moved well"

Namu was 2nd Best Bitch and received her 2nd CAC. She will return back to try her last CAC after she turns 2 years at 15.5. next spring.

25.8.2007 It was time for last show before pups are born. Tervakoski International had changed the judge so the breed was taken by Karin Kuntner from Germany instead of Kristina Sahlström.

Olle was 3rd in champion dogs and then 4th best dog. 

We want to thank both the cameras owner and the photographer for Olles new Tervakoski pictures.

18.-19.8.2007  Wilda  won biches CC:s from same shows (Kouvola-Heinola all breeds weekend) than Sera did least year.

On saturday Wilda was 2:nd best bitch after Champion girl, so she received her 2:nd CC.  Judge was Joyce O' Connor.

Sunday's Swedish judge Elisabeth Rennerfelt liked our little girl even more and made her best of breed, so the legend that the last CC is the hardest to get is not in every case the whole truth.

The dog just has to love attention like she does. 

It means that she needed only one weekend to complete her title.

So her full name is from now on FIN CH Gunpowder's Crazy Girl

Not bad, 2 weekends and 2 new champions.

Saturday was exstremely warm showday at Luumäki and Olle was BOS under Marjatta Pylvänäinen-Suorsa

On sunday we travelled on Joensuu Int show where Olle won champion dogs and ended up BD-2 with res-Cacib under Estonian judge Lilian Hanniste

9.8.2007 Today I did it, I bought a digital SLR-camera. I love it. Now I can star adding new pictures again.

Hopefully beginning of next week there will be some shownews also.

12.7.2007 Viimeisimmän  tiedon mukaan roturacen ilmoittautumisia on lakattu ottamasta vastaan suuren joukkuemäärän vuoksi. Harjoittelemassa saa kuitenkin käydä em. päivinä (26.7. ja 2.8).... Käydäänkö kokeilemassa harjoituksissa seuraavan vuoden varalta, kun Egu suunnittelee järjestävänsä tapahtuman kaksipäiväisenä kaikkien joukkueiden mukaan saamiseksi?

11.7.2007  It is nice to know that one has friends somewhere =) The other dog that I planned to Sera is called S Ch Party-line's Star Trek "Olle" (Rapparnas Antonio - Party-line's Afro-Dite). His Swedish breeders Christer and Peter are the best, when I called to Christer and told him what happened, he said that I could go and pick Olle up. Couple days later I travelled to Stockholm where Peter brought him to me at the terminal. I first met him at their house when I went to take a look at Annettes pups last winter- I fell in love with my baby Filip but there was this tall black and handsome dog standing in the snow outside and I had a hard time not to watch him. So he came to us to mate Sera - and they loved each other. He has A-hips and we just eye examinated him on thursday and everyhting is just fine. He seems to like us as much as we like him. I'll let you know how his show carreer will start when he is going out in a month for the first time. Now our puppybuyers have change to see both of the parrents.

So thank you so much Christer and Peter for letting Olle come to Finland to see Sera and hopefully start our line in blacks! Result of their lovestory will see daylight at week 35.

26.6.2007  Have  you ever thought that life REALLY does not understand your planns. Couple days ago, I had it all planned, the matings etc.Then our life suddenly turned around when I heard from an owner of  that a-litter bitch that suddenly died at the age of 3.5. Autopsy report reveiled that her adrenal glands had withered and caused her a shock that killed her.. If she would have lived longer her diagnoze might have been Addison's. By telling this, I know that some people have a new subject to their conversations - they are not my concerne. I'm not herre for them nor am I the first that has had this on a dog and certainly I will not be the last. If there would be something good coming from losing Maya - I hope it would be that people, would recognize it's symptoms early enough to get their dogs tested and medicated as it is - treatable (not curable). Famula and friends made a recearch about it at 2003 called, Heritability and complex segregation analysis of hypoadrenocorticism in the standard poodle. From the dogs taking part they were able to estimate that 41% of them were carriers. Still after all this, Standards as a breed are healthy. It is just a fact that more discussion should be going on to prevent these ever coming a serious problems for the breed health in general. My breeding work doesn't end here, I have other lines to work with and as people more intelligent than I have said - sick dogs or dogs that have several sick dogs in their line should not be used for breeding - so this was not a kill strike for this line either. I could have "rolled over and died", but with this comes a responsibility so actions came with a 10 minute delay after receiving this unfortunate news. One of my planned litters were cancelled (some said that it was bit extreme) and during the day owners of dogs from that litter were SMSed by spreading the word caution - their daily life did not change, but as said before - they need to be able to recognize all the possible symptoms to get help in time as not all of the vets know enough. Breeding is a bit weird hobby as some days are dancing on rose petals and some sweat, blood and tears. Some links to articles about Addison's in finnish - in english feel free to google.

Then to a bit happier news: Still Sera's litter is going to happen, we just had to postpone our date with Dexter until next year.... There was 2 males I considered (or more I considered that which one I should breed to her 1st), so it looks like that we are going forward with this other choice and then fly to Norway next year... Sera's progesterone test were taken today.. I just don't know what it said before tomorrow as Mika took my phone to work...

19.6.2007 Sera's season has started and her eyes tested clear!

13.6.2007  Last  weekend was so much fun, we took part in 2 match-shows, Nerian Balder "Nooa" and Mona (his owner) were in both with us. On saturday Filip was best pup (red ribbon), Enda was 3rd of the big dogs with the blue ribbon, Balder was 3rd of the big dogs with red ribbon. Mona showed mother and son (Enda & Nooa) in pairs competition, they came 2nd! Tia took part at her 1st JH-competition and also came 2nd.

On sunday I practised for the real rings with Filip and he was best pup with blue ribbon and Nooa was 2nd with red ribbon. Filip spent the night with Mona and Nooa, exploring Lahti. Big thanks to Mona for washing and shaving my pup! Nooa and Filip are like brothers now. I'll add pictures on monday so you can see for your selves.

Later on sunday I judged my first match-show, it looks alot easyer when you stand on the outside. In my opinion, in these shows important things are, that the dog and handler are having fun together and that they both know what is going on in the ring. I judged small breeds and JH's. Junior Handler-winner handled her Pharao Hound perfectly. 1st with red ribbon was a Welsh Corgi Gardigan and 1st with blue ribbon was a Tibetan Spaniel - all 8 dogs placed were happy and energetic performers - I wished that there would have been 5 placings on the "redribbons" there was such a fun litlle Pug on my ring.  On thursday I'll be judging again.

But not so much fun that something unpleasant wouldn't happen. We are currently griefing, one really wonderful dogpersonality has left to the rainbow bridge - I'll tell you more when the autopsyreport comes in.

31.5.2007 I finally started to plan names for these planned litters - so those who are hoping to have their new familymembers from these litters can e-mail me for the namelist. I have been offered very interesting exporting choices, so hopefully everything goes as well as planned. Now we just hope that there will be lot of girls born. 

I got invited to judge in a match show (2 of them). I have never done that before, so it will be a lot of fun. I'll let you know how it went later =). I added some old pictures in the galleries.

30.5.2007 Filip has grown so well. here he is after bath at 5 months of age, he is amazing!!!

24.5.2007 this site was founded. It takes some time before I collect all the material here I've planned to put here so be patient.

I'll tell you something that happend a bit over month ago... Annette Länghemmer called to me from Sweden, we have been friends for couple years, well pretty much since her white adorable bitches Vanessa's first pups - at that time I was interested in buying a white bitch from her, but unfortunately in that litter no white bitches was born. So now at Vanessa's 3rd litter, she offered a dog for me... Quite a few people that know me could tell you how that story ended. so we give you, our latest pride and joy - ESCORT'S BERNARD LA BLANCHE!!!
