NEPW Hostile Holidays 2K6

NEPW Owner Eddie Edwards has released the following statement to www.neweraprowrestling.com :

" Fans and wrestlers alike, I would like to begin by thanking everyone for their help in making the NEPW Resurrection a trewmendous success. The wrestlers gave their all and pushed it to the limit, and the fans responded in kind. I am more excited about the future of NEPW than I have been for quite some time. There is an influx of hungry young talent, fresh new faces, and some of the best independant talent in the country and 2007 is looking to be a banner year for the NEPW and its fans. In that regard, before I look forward, I need to take one look back and revisit the Extreme War promotion for one second. These cowards blew into Painesville last May and tried to make a statement at the expense of NEPW, and nearly succeeded in ending 5 years of hard work. If it wasnt for the persistance of the wrestlers and staff of NEPW to pick themselves up off the ground and get back at it, who knows where we might be right now. But we did, and then when NEPW issues the challenge to fight like men on November 4th, the EW people didnt fare so well. The office once again abandoned their talent like cowards, and the ones who came to fight found out right away that it wasnt going to be so easy, and the war officially ended as the remaining EW talent renounced their promotion. NEPW has established themselves for years, and no one will walk in and disrespect the legacy of all the talent who have helped build this promotion over the years. Extreme War, the war is over and your promotion is as worthless as the checks you wrote, and now NEPW has "extremely" ended the "war". Now on to the future, and the future for NEPW is our next huge event, December 2nd at Laura's Roller Emporium. The main event has been signed and I am proud to announce it here first. The Gambino Brothers Moving Company came into Painesville at Resurrection and stole a victory from J-Rocc and BlackHammer, and their cousin Jimmy Demarco was not only the deciding factor in the end of that match. J-Rocc and Hammer immediately requested a rematch, however the Gambinos refused to agree to one. I have a solution for that. And since Demarco obviously couldnt get enough NEPW action, based off his constant interference, and I aim to please, allow me to fix that at the same time. I have signed the return of a classic NEPW battleground for December: A Six Man Painesville Street Fight pitting the Gambino Brothers Moving Company (Mickey & Marshall Gambino & Jimmy Demarco) against the reuinited for one night only Regime of BlackHammer, J-Rocc and the returning Adam Cage. The rules of this match are exactly as they sound: NO DQ or CO, come as you are, all weapons are legal, falls count anywhere, there must be a winner! I have also upped the ante for this: If the Gambino Clan is victorious, they will recieve a shot at the NEPW US Tag Team Titles in January, however if the Regime is victorious, The Gambinos must meet The Regime in a Resurrection rematch. Also, Fabulous John MCChesney has been on the phone with me all week, demanding that he still wants to battle M-Dogg 20 and settle the question over who is the best athlete in NEPW. Of course, M-Dogg was scheduled to challenge for the title at Resurrection but had to void his contract as he was signed last minute for a Ring of Honor event in Philadelphia. I am pleased to announce that I have signed the match in stone for the main event of our huge show in January, and have given both men December off to train to the peak of their abilities and allow both men to put on the match of their lives. Also, NEPW has several big things in the works for 2007, so keep checking the site, as I have fires in the oven and will break them on the website as soon as things aere confirmed. See you all December 2nd!"

Edwards has also released the following matches to go alongside that huge main event for Hostile Holidays 2K6, December 2nd:

NEPW Ladies Title Match:
"Sexy" Lexi Lane vs. Jessicka Havoc

NEPW U.S. Tag Title Match:
American Yakuza (Jason Gory & Shiima Xion) (c) vs. Alpha Beta Duke (Big Duke & Patrick Hayes)

Top 5 Contenders Match: Chris Cronus vs. Jabari

Robbie Starr vs. Chris Kahn

Nick Tatum vs. Mike Hercum

Zak Vincent vs. Super Hentai

Tickets are on sale now, make sure you are ringside when NEPW ends 2006 with the biggest brawl of the year and some of the best action anywhere!

Breaking News

NEPW Owner Eddie Edwards has released the first matches confirmed for NEPW Resurrection, Saturday November 4 at Laura'a Roller Emporium. Eddie has also confirmed finally hearing from the "office" of the defunct Extreme War promotion. As would be expected from that crew, they have once again hung their talent out to dry, and have refused to come out of hiding for this huge event. However, several members of the EW roster have independantly contacted NEPW and agreed to fight, and a fight it will be, especially with the announcement of this blockbuster main event:

Champion vs. Champion - Title Unification Match

Extreme War Champion M-Dogg 20 vs. NEPW Triple Crown Champion "The Fabulous" John McChesney

Both men have stated that regardless of ownership issues, each feels he is the dominant champion, and on Saturday Night, November 4th we will find out. Remember, M-Dogg 20 was at the head of the Extreme War attack that crippled and nearly ended NEPW back in May, and McChesney took the worst of the beating, so tempers will flare, and the action will be intense to be sure. Both competitors are among the country's best talents, so this explosive battle will be one for the ages.

NEPW vs. Extreme War

Chris Cronus vs. "Deviant" Michael Hutter

Shiima Xion vs. "Big Daddy of Destruction" J-Rocc

When the EW attack took place last May, M-Dogg 20, John Bolen and The Gambino Bros. Moving Company were at the head of the attack, laying waste to McChesney, Deviant, and J-Rocc. With the main event settled and John Bolen having signed with WWE, J-Rocc and Hutter challenged The Gambino Bros. to a tag team matchup at Resurrection, but the Gambino Bros. refused to accept it. Instead, business manager and sister of the family, Vicky Gambino, stated that the Gambinos would not be attending the Nov.4 event, but would agree to return to NEPW to face them IF and ONLY IF J-Rocc and Hutter were able to defeat hand-picked opponents at Resurrection, which turned out to be Chris Cronus and Shiima Xion. She stated that Xion has accomplishments all over the world, has stepped up to the plate numerous times against the biggest stars in the business and is ready to not only step up to the challenge of the former champion J-Rocc, but make his name by defeating the man most associated with the NEPW brand. Cronus, one of the most muscular talents in the area today and one of the only men on the independant scene able to stand muscle-for-muscle with the man known as "The Deviant", is going to form a potent challenge for Hutter. Agile, agressive, and determined to assert himself in NEPW is Cronus and the Gambinos are positive that Hutter is no match for their ace-in-the-hole. The Gambinos are so confident in their repective match-ups for Resurrection that they have already signed the contract for December, so should their gamble backfire, they will find themselves across the ring from two of the biggest NEPW stars of all time, however Hutter and J-Rocc have huge tasks in front of them, and need not look ahead, or they may get derailed on their runaway train of revenge.

We expect the rest of the card to be finalized and announced over the next few days, so keep checking back, but what an awesome start to this huge November night!

October 4, 2006 - The Resurrection

Ladies and gentlemen, details are sketchy at this time, but www.neweraprowrestling.com is pleased to announce that after seemingly witnessing the death of NEPW at Home Sweet Home last May; NEPW Owner Eddie Edwards has announced that after month's of rehabilitation, recovery, and re-determination, he is ready to resume operations, as well as gain retribution for the horrid acts of May 14, 2006 (see story below for details). As we stated, details are limited, however Eddie has confirmed that NEPW returns to it's home base of Laura's Roller Emporium in Painesville,OH  on Saturday, November 4, 2006. Already confirmed for the event are NEPW Triple Crown Champion "Fabulous" John McChesney, "The Deviant" Michael Hutter, "Big Daddy of Destruction" J-Rocc, Raymond Rowe, Mikey Showtime, Perry Greene, BlackHammer, and Jabari. Eddie Edwards has also issued an open challenge to any and all Extreme War talents to return to Painesville and face the wrath of NEPW, specifically stating that all his top guys are back, hungry and ready for retribution. We hope to have more on this breaking story over the weekend, so stay logged on to www.neweraprowrestling.com for all the upcoming info. Extreme War beware, the Ressurection of NEPW occurs November 4th!

"This is what we call a complete and utter show of dominance. NEPW is dead." - Extreme War, 5/14/06

With that chilling quote, the most brutal and life-altering night of NEPW's existence came crashing to a brutal and bloody conclusion. May 14, 2006 was supposed to be a celebration of the return of New Era Pro Wrestling, instead it became a ghastly burial, and could quite possibly be the final chapter in NEPW's story. Full results are up on the results page of the site, but it all took a backseat to what happened at the end of the night. To tell the story correctly, you have to start at the beginning of the night, which saw Eddie Edwards in mid-ring with his promised announcement, which stunned the crowd at the Fairgrounds, as Edwards announced this being the final night of NEPW action, as he is simply unable to dedicate the time neccesary to properly promote the town. Eddie announced that he has found a promotion he trusts to take over the territory he built, beginning with his June 10 event, in the Cleveland based Extreme War promotion, which had promoted events in the Cleveland,OH area featuring AJ Styles, Tommy Dreamer, Mick Foley, and many others over the last 2 years. Extreme War was represented at ringside for the event, and as a courtesy some of the top Extreme War talent was featured on the event to introduce them to the Painesville audience, among them Extreme War Heavyweight Champion M-Dogg 20, John Bolen (now signed to WWE), The Gambino Brothers (Mickey, Marshall and Jimmy), Super Hentai, Jason Gory and Shiima Xion. All was well until right before the main event of the evening, as Eddie made his way to the ring unscheduled and with 2 sentences may have altered the course of NEPW in ways he never imagined. Eddie thanked everyone for coming out and announced he cant go through with his plans, he loves NEPW too much to give it up, and he isnt going anywhere. The Extreme War group became enraged at ringside and began an argument with Edwards in the lockerroom area, as the main event made its way to the ring. After a tremendous matchup for the NEPW Triple Crown title between champion J-Rocc, and challengers Deviant and John McChesney, which saw all three men beat each other senseless before McChesney was able to roll up the champ and capture his 2nd NEPW Triple Crown title, in what would normally be a moment of celebration and revelry, all hell broke loose. The entire Extreme War roster ambushed the ring and laid a devestating assault on the three men who had just laid it on the line against each other for nearly 20 minutes. NEPW wrestlers hit the ring for the save, but were practically impotent as the EW roster proceeded to annihilate everything NEPW in its path. Finally with the entire locker room rendered unconscious, EW owner Justin McFadden dragged NEPW Owner Eddie Edwards into the ring and he was savagely assaulted by the EW reps. This was one of the most complete and widepread, most devestating and surgically precise attacks this correspondant has personally ever witnessed in my history of attending wrestling events.

I have been unable to contact anyone from NEPW in the last week, so really we have no word from anyone, except a two line email to the website from the office of NEPW Owner Eddie Edwards cancelling NEPW's June 10 event, and updating the casualty list from "Home Sweet Home". Edwards was released from Lakeshore Hospital last Friday, spending 5 days recovering from a shattered septum, severe concussion and scratched cornea in his right eye. New NEPW Triple Crown Champion "Fabulous" John McChesney tore several ligaments in his left ankle, and cracked 2 bones in the same ankle, at the hands of John Bolen and apparently no timetable has been set for his return to the ring, as he has a several month rehab ahead of him. Former champion J-Rocc suffered a dislocated right shoulder and concussion in the assault, and Deviant recieved several staples in his head after hitting the back of his head on the concrete floor. I have left a message at the NEPW office for Eddie Edwards, and if we hear nothing new, we plan on personally visiting Eddie and trying to find out what the future, if there is even a future, holds for NEPW. Normally, one would expect some kind of response immediately, and the fact that there is nothing from the NEPW side shows just how truly vicious the Extreme War attack really was. These are dark, dark days in this NEPW fan's mind.

NEPW 5/14 TV Commercial

April 25, 2006

Fans of NEPW, in anticipation of the big "Home Sweet Home" card May 14, we are proud to release the first New Era Pro Wrestling history video, dedicated to the return to action of NEPW. The link is located on the left of the page, check it out today as once again the NEPW video staff have done a terrific job.

Also, we here at www.neweraprowrestling.com are pleased to be able to announce that Eddie Edwards has announced the return to NEPW of former Cruiserweight Champion and international wrestling star "M-Dogg 20" Matt Cross at "Home Sweet Home", as well as signing yet another international high flying star with the NEPW debut of Super Hentai. Eddie has released to us the first six matches signed for this fantastic night of action, and truly the moniker "Home Sweet Home" has never been more appropriate:

- Ryan Miller and Twist, the final two graduates of the NEPW Wrestling Academy (prior to halting of wrestling operations in May 2005) team up to battle the debuting Gambino Brothers Moving Company. Mickey and Marshall Gambino, have won tag team titles throughout PA and WV, and are looking to make a strong first impression on the state of Ohio at the expense of the popular "Team Ravage".

-  NEPW Cruiserweight Champion AERO takes on "Wonderman" Glenn Spectre. Due to Spectre's size, this contest won't be for the cruiserweight championship, however it is sure to be a struggle between two of NEPW's top wrestlers, as well as important to the title rankings of both men, as Spectre is currently ranked #3 to the Triple Crown Championship, and a victory for AERO shoots him right into contendership.

- In the first title match to be announced for this show, the NEPW US Tag Team Championships will be on the line as champions Extreme Violence (Perry Greene and Jay Violence) have agreed to defend the titles against the men whom they defeated for those belts last year, The Regime of Adam Cage and BlackHammer. www.neweraprowrestling.com have learned that since NEPW suspended operations that both Perry Greene and Jay Violence have both gone about testing themselves as singles wrestler, yet jumped at the opportunity to reunite their team and recapture their success of early 2005.

- Pennsylvania's self professed Strongest Man and bench press record holder John Bolen has issued an open challenge to anyone in the building on May 14, and has promised that May 14 will not be known as return night for NEPW, but as the night Painesville fans first bore witness to "Big, Bad" John Bolen. We have done some checking on this newcomer, and he definitely has the credentials of a top star here in NEPW, as not only does he hold the PA state bench press record, but has also passed through his training in the brutal TNA Gut Check Challenge, under the tutelage of TNA's Coach of Team Canada, Scott D'Amore, but can his prior sucess translate over to the rings of NEPW? We shall see on May 14th.

- Two of the brightest young stars in independant wrestling today bring to NEPW the latest battle in a war that has waged across the United States for much of the last 2 years, as "The New Face" Jason Gory brings his unique, high flying offense to Painesville to battle "The Virgin Slayer" and "Wrestlings First Male Phillipino SuperModel", Shiima Xion. The previous battles between these men have always been match-of-the-year candidates in other promotions, and we expect no less from these exciting young stars  at "Home Sweet Home"

- In a battle of two internationally known wrestling stars making their debuts for NEPW, the high flying Super Hentai takes on Sterling James Keenan. These men have both won championships across the country, and are recognized around the world for their success wrestling abroad, as Hentai has toured Japan, Hawaii, and Mexico in the past, while Keenan is currently a star in the UK, as well as an up and coming talent with Ring of Honor. NEPW officials expect a tremendous contest as both of these men look to stake their claim as being among the best in NEPW right off the bat on May 12.

Plus, we know that NEPW Triple Crown Champion J-Rocc has signed to defend his title at "Home Sweet Home" and are awaiting word from Eddie Edwards as to whom his challenger will be, but we do know that Deviant has been ranked as the number 1 contender for the title. Will he get the first title shot at "Home Sweet Home", or will someone else be given the opportunity at the gold? Plus NEPW Owner Eddie Edwards has said the he has a HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT for everyone live in attendance on May 12. So far things are already shaping up for this historic night, and we hope to have the entire rest of the line-up within the next few days. Until then, enjoy the video as we whet your appetite for NEPW action!
