I am an amatuer musician, I produce, mix, process, edit and record all my music at home using a very low budget and several years experience. My other major interest is physics, which I plan to study at degree level very shortly, I find that some of the more complex aspects behind producing music electronically go hand in hand with physics as they both involve mathematics, waves and general problem solving.
During the past year I have produced music of various styles and genres such as; industrial, electronic, rock, metal, blues, orchestral, experimental and some tracks which have a very original sound and are difficult to categorise!
Currently I am working on developing a soundtrack to the C&C3 mod Tiberium Dawn, which aims to recreate the original C&C but using updated graphics and audio, the soundtrack will try to maintain the classic C&C feel yet provide a more modern, unique experience. The great thing about creating music for a C&C game is that there is a lot of opportunity to try out many different genres including electronic, rock, ambient, industrial and interesting combinations of the four. I have also chosen to produce the soundtrack for a first person Half-life 2 mod called 'Epidemic', this game will be completely from the main character's perspective so the music will be used to create certian atmospheres during parts of the game. The music in this game will primarily be ambient as the game features zombies so there will be need for powerful atmospheric music. So far I have created several concept tracks, but I will begin full production as the mod develops further. I will be looking into recording sound samples and putting them into the ambient tracks after processing them.
