Tobago (CERT) BobCAT Skid-Steer Loader Training |
The CERT
BobCat Skid-Steer Loader Training Program provided training for thirty-nine
(39) participants during the period, January 16th to 20th, 2006 and was held
at the Trinidad and Tobago Hospitality & Tourism Institute (Tobago Campus), Mt.
St. George, Tobago. This training program presented knowledge and
skills, preparing each
participant to efficiently maneuver a BobCat Skid
Steer Loader. The facilitators were Sant Equipment
Ltd. of Trinidad and Tobago. CERT Trainees were specifically provided with
training on the BobCat 300 Model.
The following modular units comprised the Learning objective for the training program:
Discuss how weight distribution affects skid-steer loader steering and stability.
Explain the difference between Tipping Load and Rated Operating Capacity.
Have an understanding of the hydrostatic transmission, and that the loader will react the moment the steering levers are moved.
Explain thy maintenance is an important factor for safe, efficient, and productive operation.
Identify the controls and their functions.
Identify the loader's safety features and explain their importance.
Explain the steps of safety entry and exit.
Explain the reason for changing attachments and the use of the Bob-Tach System.
Know the fundamentals of safe maneuvering, traveling and working with the attachment.
Know the fundamentals of efficient maneuvering, traveling, and working with the attachment.
