Neills gone birdin

Welcome to the site...............Marshside at its best (and worst) + the occasional trip elsewhere.

Welcome to the site, it concentrates on Marshside birds and birders, our local patch, our annual birding trips and of course past and present national rarities. Plenty of photo's from near and far and a forum for advice / discusion etc.

We're slowly merging freewebs.com/Neillsgonebirdin with ThroughAGlassDarklyBlog.com to create a new Marshsidebirders.com website.

The Latest Sightings pages for Marshside and the North Merseyside/West lancs area are now at http://throughaglassdarklyblog.com/about/marshside-info/latest-sightings/

Are you visiting Marshside / Martin Mere and or other Northwest Birding Areas? Need accommodation? Recommended Guest House in Southport close to all sites and run by local birder. Click for details

Special rates for birders, just mention this site.

Map Below shows the Marshside Recording Boundaries as set out by Bazzo The Great, (for the purpose of the book) and shows all the main Birding areas. Please note however  that there is  a new platform at the southern end of Marshside 1 on Hesketh Road (limited parking directly opposite).

The RSPB reserve proper consists of M1 and M2.

Please enjoy your visit to the website and ultimately the real actual site, please report your sightings at The Sandgrounders Hide (Log Book here) also send any unusual records to the county recorder,  you can also email this site to report anything of interest and I'll put it on the Latest Sightings page.

Thanks
