CBS representatives, __________________________________________ agree to meet with Honor Nation, their speakers, members of the Native American community and cultural presenters in order to receive the petition authored at Indianz.com addressing the issue of Stereotyping of Native Americans at the 2004 Grammy's as broadcast on CBS.
Honor Nation representative JakeAl Reum ________________ and CBS representative_____________________ will set the date for this meeting within 14 days of the signing of this document.
If CBS representatives do not negotiate this meeting in good faith, nor fulfill the obligations agreed to in this document, it is understood that additional protests and demonstrations will take place at the CBS affiliate offices of WCCO. Honor Nation agrees to honor all it's obligations and stated in this document. Honor Nation Representative: __________________________ .
CBS representatives, ________________________________________ understand and respect that there is reason that the petition be delivered through a ceremony created by and facilitated by Native Americans as represented by Honor Nation. Observation of this ceremony by CBS representatives is a mandatory obligation of reconciliation between CBS/WCCO and Honor Nation.
Honor Nation, their allies, cultural presenters, elders and supporters, agree in good faith to meet with WCCO/CBS representatives, their speakers and relevant members of their Corporation to deliver the petition, authored at Indianz.com, addressing the issue of stereotyping of Native Americans at the 2004 Grammy's as broadcast on CBS.
It is recommended those apologies, policy statements/revisions and other forms of reconciliation and pacification, be provided by CBS representatives to the Indian community at the time of the meeting.
The undersigned understand and agree to the terms and obligations as they have been written in this document. The date is Thursday, April 01, 2004.
