This is with reference to the published proceedings of Indo-US Workshop on Advances in Computational Optimization and Analysis of Systems (COSA 2007), 6-9 February, 2007 Outreach Centre, IIT Kanpur in which a particular paper titled

"A Comparative Study of Genetic Algorithm, Improved-Repulsive Particle Swarm Optimization and Simulated Annealing"

appears. In this paper some 'new' functions have been optimized. Those New functions (eg. Bird function, Cross function, Pen-holder function, Crowned cross function, etc) that appear in the paper are not new at all, or newly introduced by the author of the paper.

These functions were introduced by me in the working paper

"Some New Test Functions for Global Optimization and Performance of Repulsive Particle Swarm Method"
deposited on 23 Aug. 2006 at the Social Science Research Network
