We received the shocking, upsetting news recently that lovely Chloe had died after suffering a partial twisted spleen following a bloat incident.  Her loving owners did the kindest thing and put her out of her pain.  Our hearts go to her family who only had her for such a short time but gave her the best life a dog could ever wish for...

Milly didn't even get the chance of her perfect home.

 She was dumped by her owners when she became ill and was rescued by kind people who fostered her for us. Upon examination by a vet it was discovered that she had terminal cancer and she was put to sleep gently and kindly so that she wouldn't suffer a painful, prolonged death.  Luckily we had the funds to investigate her illness and then give her peace, but our funds are now at an all time low - if you have been touched by Milly's story, please donate something so that we can help the next 'Milly' that comes to us for help.

Each year many Neapolitan Mastiffs (the term used by those in the breed is 'Mastino' or 'Mastini' when referring to more than one) end up in rescue through no fault of their own. The majority of them are from broken homes where a partner has left. Some are abandoned and due to ignorance or neglect can be in a poor state.

Sometimes it is sadly necessary for dogs to be rehomed as the owners' current situation cannot deal with having a dog for the foreseeable future. Sometimes people purchase that adorable puppy for the wrong reasons and as they grow find out that this is not the breed for them. This is a large powerful breed and we are looking unique types of dog people to adopt a unique breed of dog.

 We would like to publicly thank the small but much appreciated group of people who have set up a standing order from their bank accounts to ours so that we can continue to help Mastini in need.  If you can't help by fostering, adopting, home or dog assessing, perhaps you can help by donating something on a regular basis as even a small amount we can count on helps us enormously!  Please see our donations page for more details.

A microchipping service is available in the South East with all of the proceeds going to Neapolitan Mastiff Welfare. 

 When you microchip your dog with Neapolitan Mastiff Welfare, you enable us to microchip a rescue dog.  You will receive a special tag for your dog's collar, a year's free membership of the Missing Pets Bureau, lifetime registration on a national pet reunification database and the knowledge that your dog's details are logged and secure.  Not only that but you have helped a Neapolitan Mastiff in need!

Multiple-dog discounts can be arranged for rescues, breeders (puppies over 8wks), training classes, dog shows, Fun Days or any other venue or event where multiple dogs need to be microchipped.  Remember ALL proceeds go to Neapolitan Mastiff Welfare.
