You and your team are expected to compete safely and responsibly before, during and after the event. It is your responsibility to stop any activity/challenge/behavior if you feel unsafe or that you may cause yourself or anyone else any harm.
Please dress appropriately for this family-oriented event.
Children and animals are not allowed on the course or mud pit at any time during this event. Children, animals (bring your own supplies for cleaning up after them), family, friends and guests are welcome observe at the start and finish lines and may also watch you and your team at the mud pit area. We will have volunteers and public safety officials at those areas to help direct visitors to the appropriate viewing areas.

Wear clothing and shoes that you know will get dirty.· We are hoping to have changing areas available at the end of the race, but we
can’t promise anything so be prepared to drive home in dirty, wet clothing.
· Should we have changing areas available, bring a trash bag for your clothing.
· Military-style trousers or pants may be worn during the event but are not required.
· Do not wear any jewelry on this course as it is likely to get damaged or lost during the mud run.
· If you have long hair, make sure that it is clear of your eyes, obstacles, challenges and other runners.
· If you have a medical condition that may impair you or others, please get the appropriate clearance from your physician to participate or don’t participate in this event.
· In other mud runs across the country, some runners have chosen to wear goggles during the mud pit challenges. You are welcome to do this as you are very likely to get a lot of mud in your face. Remember that you are responsible for carrying your own goggles.
· Make sure that you are physically and mentally prepared for this event.
· Drink plenty of fluids before, during and after the race.
· Absolutely no diving, belly flopping, flipping, cart-wheeling, sliding or other gymnastics are allowed in the mud pit!!!
· We will have event staff at every obstacle/challenge and along the course, if you need help or guidance, they will be happy to assist. Our event staff will be wearing mud run staff t-shirts and we will identify ourselves at the beginning of the race.
· We will have medical teams and first aid trained staff on the course, let them know if you need anything. If they stop you or your team for any reason, please give them your immediate attention.
· We will have three water stations on the course – at the start/finish line, at approximately half way through the course and several at the mud pit. Stay hydrated!
· Mud Run tradition is that all team members will hold hands as they prepare to and cross the finish line. This builds great team unity and also outstanding event photos. Start, compete and complete this fun and outstanding event together.
In the event you cannot get wet for some reason or have a special need (bandage, stitches, apparatus, etc.), running alongside mud obstacles is allowed with prior permission of the event staff.
