To receive the achievement for "1000 People Online" you must be in an online lobby. Here is a step by step process to get to where you need to be.
Then hopefully not too long after you enter the lobby you will see that beautiful achievement unlocked icon pop up.
Q. What Do I Have To Do To Receive This Achievement?
A. Simple, just be online in NBA Live 2007 during the scheduled time and you should receive the achievement once the game reaches 1000 users...just MAKE SURE you are in an online lobby and not actually playing the game or in any other rooms or you will not receive this achievement. (see above for more info. regarding the lobby)
A. In one word: Promotion. Just a few days after learning about this achievement and reading up on people's thoughts I decided another day needed to be set up (and with more then 3 or 4 days notice). There are simply so many people without this achievement and I would like to give everybody, including myself one last shot at receiving it. To promote this event I have made posts on over a 3 dozen websites informing people of what is going to be happening. And these websites have garnered nearly 20,000 hits and will surely pass that before the day of the event.
A. Well the most important thing right now is to make sure all your friends and Xbox Live buddies are aware of this event. Make sure you let them know that this is probably going to be the last chance they will EVER have at receiving this achievement. Another thing that will help our case it placing something like NBALive1000=07/8/07 as your "motto" or slogan. This will show up on your GamerCard right above your most recently unlocked achievements for the game you are playing. This is especially helpful because if you play a popular game where people may check out your stats, they will ask you what your motto means and you can inform them. Mentioning this event in your signature for website forums will also help spread the word.
A. As I said earlier, if you want you can simply join a lobby and receive the achievement. I would also appreciate it if I could get a bunch of people to confirm that they are willing to place servers or lobbies up for others to join. I personally will have a couple lobbies up and running for people to join, but there will have to be a bare minimum of 20-25 lobbies available as each lobby can hold approximately 50 gamers. The most important thing you can do to help out though is set up additional Xbox Live accounts. Every Xbox 360 can have 4 accounts running simultaneously in NBA Live 2007. If we can get an average of 2 accounts per person it will eliminate the need of half the participants. That means a menial 500 people online. I personally will have 8 accounts up and running.
ALSO MAKE SURE YOU REMAIN ONLINE FOR A COUPLE HOURS IF AT ALL POSSIBLE. WE WANT AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE TO RECEIVE THIS ACHIEVEMENT, SO LETS HELP EVERYBODY OUT. EVEN IF THEY DO SHOW UP AN HOUR OR TWO LATER.
