In the beginning God
So this is the start of everything, and I am totally excited and a little freaked out. I have NEVER done anything like this ever before, but I'm leaving, this Sunday for...well...life, I guess. This really feels like it is the turning point in my life, where everything changes, and I can't wait to see what God has in store, because He is what this is really all about. And I have no idea what I'd do without Him.This website is for everyone who just wants to know what's going on in my life, and I hope I can keep it up
. I've not been too good at doing this sort of thing in the past. As most of you should know, I'm going to the ship for this year (from Sunday Aug. 27th to like July 31st) and this is so that I can post pictures and stuff here for everyone, as well as prayer requests and just updates about what is happening on the ship, and I might also post my prayer letter on here.
Graduation
So I've finished my last year of high school, and applied for university and been accepted and deferred it for a year, and this all took so much internet paperwork that it was...crazy
(I have no other word to convey what it felt like). Sooo, in honour of finally finishing everything to do with the public school system, I'm going to post pictures of graduation on here; on the page called Graduation (creative, eh?). And I would like to apologize to Tiffany, I don't know what happened but the picture with you was deleted, so if you have that I would be thrilled if you could email it to me.
So this is Holland
Hey so I’m at the conference, and just about ready to leave!
For those of you who think England is raining, Holland is much worse. It seems
like a requirement that it rain at least once a day, but it doesn’t often pour,
and light sprinkling can actually be very nice. Everyone here seems to think it
is chilly, including the other Canadians, with the exception of myself, and the
Dutch people. I personally think that this weather is just right; it’s so nice
and cool. We even got a chance to visit one the nearby villages, which was
really cool. Everything in this country seems so old and authentic, for
example, most of the buildings at the conference have thatched roofs (on the
outside, there is something between the thatch and the room).
Almost there
I leave at 9:00am on Friday morning, which is
nice, because some people are leaving the conference at around 2:00am, and most
of them are already tired! The flight is straight to Thailand, with no stops,
so it will only be around 9 hours long, and cross, I don’t even know how many
time zones, so I may end up in the next day, while most of you are still in
yesterday.
Prayer Day
Wednesday was prayer day, and it was amazing! We went
through prayer disciplines, and heard about all the 24/7 prayers going on all
over the world. I really wish I’d been about to do that more often, to just
take a day out and do nothing but pray and worship God. There was also a really
awesome worship service that night, where when the band wanted to end, everyone
ended up cheering for more songs!
