The campaignes characterization JUST RIDE is a simple request of women riders and is the simple method that creates female rider awareness. It's not a charity, a fundraiser or controlled event. Welcome ladies to the first annual International Female Ride Day Windsor Ride! Like Motoress.com said, JUST RIDE and that's what I plan to do. This ride will take place on Friday, May 2, 2008. The staging area is at Riverisde Park at the corner of Riverside Drive East and Aylmer Avenue in Windsor Ontario. The ride leaves at **10:00am ** sharp. Please make sure to arrive early so you can check in and have time to socialize and take pictures.
***After much debate and thought it has been decided that the ride will not be going out to Grand Bend. Unfortunately for us we live in an area where the weather still isn't quite warm at the beginning of May. I have come to realize it will be too cold still to travel to Grand Bend. Don't despair, the ride is still a go! We will make a day out of the ride but will probably stay in the Essex & Chatham/Kent counties.***

***UPDATE April 23rd - For anyone coming out of town or south Windsor area, we are meeting at the Tim Hortons at Walker Rd and North Talbot at 9am to ride together down to the staging area.
***UPDATE April 28th - The long range forcast is rain for Friday's ride. If it is raining that day the ride will be postponed. The rain date has been set for Saturday, May 17th. Please be sure to check your email the morning of the ride. I will send out an email and update this site if the ride has been cancelled.

***UPDATE May 3rd - Well after deciding to cancel the ride due to the weather, I decided to go to the meeting placing to make sure no one showed up without knowing. Well we ended up with 10 of us! We decided to go out and do the route anyway and make the best of the day, however long it may be. The rain started just after we arrived at Smugglers for lunch (and a great lunch it was by the way). We got drenched on the way home but it was a fun, nice and relaxing day celebrating women riding. I enjoyed meeting all my new friends and look forward to riding with them in the future. We are going to do the ride again on Saturday, May 17th. Please be sure to send in your registration. If I already have one for the original date please just drop me an email to let me know!
