Brothers Nathan and Seth Ray team up to form the acoustic rock duo of
Rolling In Ashes. Nathan plays the guitar and sings, while Seth
accompanies him on the dejembe and sings as well. Together, these
two brothers bring a fresh face to the acoustic rock scene of
Minnesota. Their music reflects their passion in life to grow
closer to Jesus and see others grow closer to Jesus. "We desire
to recapture the vision of the church in Acts: show them Jesus and
disciple them." Too often, the modern church is treated like a
club; come and join, meet people, have fun. Nathan and Seth
desire to see that point of view change. The church is not a
club, but an army for Jesus. The church must recapture the vision
of the early church and go beyond its walls to reach people for
Jesus. The church must also be in unity, reguardless of
denomination and minor theoligical differences. The church will
not reach its full potential until we come together as a body and share
the desire of making disciples. Lets get off our soapboxes and
win the world for Jesus. In the Old Testament, when the
Isrealites were under conviction because they had not followed God's
law, it was customary to mourn by sitting in the streets in rags and
ashes and cry out to God to give them another chance. It's time
for us to do the same. It's time to start rolling in ashes.
