If you have any charities that you would like to have listed, please feel free to email me at nathanbaeselfansite@gmail.com with the link. (Please put "community outreach page" in your subject line) I will look at and consider all charities for inclusion on this page.
Theater Mitu - Nathan Baesel is a founding member of this non-profit, NY based theater group. In his own words: "The theater company that I'm a member of, theater mitu, is a non-profit company based in NY which I would like to support in any way I can. They are constantly doing important original work around the country and internationally. ...any donations would help greatly. "
Build The Memorial - This is a very special, and deeply personal charity for me. I am, first and foremost, a life-long New Yorker. I was supposed to be working that day in a building directly across from the World Trade Center. I've played the "it could have been me" game more times than I'd care to mention. I also have family, friends and neighbors who perished on September 11, 2001. Most of those I knew were firefighters. This organization is JUST FOR the memorial. It has nothing to do with the "Freedom Tower" or any of the other buildings being built/scheduled to be built. Unfortunately, the full amount that was "dedicated" for this memorial never materialized. They now need donations to help make the original dream for the memorial a reality.
North Shore Animal League - This animal shelter, based in New York, has been in business since 1944. North Shore Animal League America is the world's largest no-kill pet rescue and adoption organization. They are a non-profit, charitable organization. While they are based in New York, they do animal rescue all over the country. Case in point: Last November our family adopted a 4 year old Beagle from them. He was rescued from Tennessee! They have many different ways that you can donate (including volunteering).
