Investigation.

History.

The house has had only one family occupy it during its existence. The house is presently occupied by a married couple and their 3 children.The mother as grew up in this house which her parents moved into on the completion of the house being built in the fifties. The couple report that they have had numerous strange occurrences happen on the premises such as objects moving ,loud bangs,and most notably a ball of light which appeared in the living room and lasted app one minute before vanishing.

The properties on this drive were built in 1952.Before this happened it was farmland which belonged to a farmhouse which is now a dentist on Lord Lane.Adjacent to the back of the house is Failsworth cemetery which dates back to the 1800s.

FINDINGS.

Living Room ,Dining Room and Kitchen.

The team, medium and mother staged a vigil in these areas from 1am to 2.30 am. At first it was very quiet and the atmosphere in these rooms were calm.At 1.40am it was decide to sit at the dining table and see if any contact with alleged spirits could be made through glass movement.Pete and Lloyd sat on one side of table facing the doorway leading to the kitchen which was open.Darren and the mother sat on the opposite side and Chris the medium sat in an armchair close by to observe the session. After a short period of time Lioyd observed the temp to his right hand side had dropped considerably. We took a temp measurement and it was noted the temp had dropped 6 degrees from the baseline reading. Next the torch we had put on the table to give us some light during the vigil began to flicker. What happened next was to stun everyone present. Pete and Lloyd both in unison leapt from their chairs.This was followed seconds later by Darren and the mother both letting out a yell of astonishment. Pete and Lloyd both stated that they heard a sigh between their seats which they say sounded like it was directed to their ears. Moments later Darren and the mother saw the wall light up which led to the kitchen.This was a shock to them as the vigil was in total darkness apart from the light coming from the above mentioned torch.Neither people in each incident noticed what happened across the table as they were so shocked by what happened only the experiences that directly happened to them.Chris reported that he did not hear the sigh but he did witness the light which he reported had lit up the whole kitchen. The vigil was brought to a close.

Bedrooms,Bathroom and Landing Area.

Time was spent in these areas but nothing seemed to occur during the investigation until an incident which happened at the end of the evening. After all the equipment was packed away. Peter and Darren were discussing the nights events at the side of Peters car.The time was app 4.15am.Peter looked up at the the window directly above the front door. The window was where the landing is.Peter stated that he saw what looked like a woman move across the window in shadow form. Darren ran into the house and went up to the area upstairs.There was no lady there.Peter said he was positive of what he saw.Peter is probably the person in the team who searches the most for a natural reason behind peoples experiences ,so for him to say the above was very interesting and believable to the reat of the team.

MEDIUMS REPORT

Chris Body is a medium who works with S.P.I on a regular basis. He comes from the outskirts of Liverpool and is not given any information by S.P.Iabout the location he is about to visit or the people who reside there.

Chris said he was drawn to the living room on entering the house. Everybody who was involved in the investigation including the mother was present. Chris stated that there was two spirits present .He said both had passed on due to chest problems.He said they were the mothers parents.He said the lady kept saying to him STEPHEN,STEPHEN,STEPHEN,STEPHEN,STEPHEN. Chris then pointed to an empty section of the floor near the tv and said that the lady used to sit in an armchair there.He said the image of soldiers like the ones in the tv programme SHARPE were coming to his mind.He then stated that the lady knew that the youngest daughter had to stay in hospital after being born due to being poorly.Finally Chris said he did not know why but the image of a wedding cake was strong in his mind.

S.P.I findings on the above mediums statements.

The mother said both of her parents had passed away at home in the house and had chest complaints. The part of the room where chris said the lady sat was the exact spot and the mother said that in life she loved watching the tv and one of her favourite programmes was indeed Sharpe.Stephen the name Chris said the lady in spirit was telling him is the son of the lady in spirit and obviously the mother presents brother. He suffers from ms and had recently been found in a coma. In the weeks that passed in hospital the family was told twice that he would pass on. The mother whose house we were investigating fought for the hospital to keep trying to keep him alive.Amazingly he started to show signs of improvement and after nine weeks in hospital he was able to return home and is now being helped by is loving sister to get back to as normal a life as he can. Finally the wedding cake Chris seen. The night of the investigation coincided with the wedding anniversary of the couple who are in spirit and the mother whose house we investigated as well.

SUMMARY

This investigtion was amazing. The occurrences at the dining table will stay in the teams mind forever.It is always excellent when more than one person experiences phenomena at the same time.The light eminating from the kitchen was witnessed by three people and therefore makes excellent evidence.Also Peter was adament he seen the shape of a lady in the window above the front door.As he is an investigator who searches hard for natural reasons for paranormal reports  this also was very impressive . Chris the medium was astonishing. The mother who I we can reveal is Darrens wife was amazed at the information he came forward with. S.P.I did not give no information about the house or Darrens wifes family to him.Therefore what he came up with was stunning.S.P.I decided that they  wanted a medium to work along side them as they wanted to encompass all aspects to paranormal investigating.The night was definitely one of our most memorable and in S.P.Is opinion this residence is paranormally active.
