NannyP's Hens

Lovely, gentle Trousers (named because he was a Brahma with feathered legs), who died last weekend.

Mrs Trousers, a gift from our French neighbour (another Gold brahma).  His dog had killed my Cream Legbar hen a few months before, so he wanted me to have something in recompense.  Mrs Trousers was a very good choice.

Mrs Maran, one of the original, 3 French hens (still looking for turtle doves and a partridge for our pear tree )

This is Parker....he has had a reprieve, as he is actually one of 2 Cream Legbar coqs, and surplus to requirements.  Someone nearby has expressed and interest, so hopefully he'll be on his way to his own harem soon. 

That'll do for now, it takes so long on dial up. Thanks for all your comments in my Guestbook, it really is very nice to read them, and I do try and reply to each one.  For those of you wondering why the music is a bit repetative, it's because I haven't got loads of money now to upgrade my site, so have to recycle. Off to find a suitable track for this page.

A beintot 

Day 0 in the Big Brother House- 24 Housemates arrive, but are shy and won't come out of their shells. The house is nice and warm, and just a little humid...and it gently rocks them as they sleep.

Day 7 in the Big Brother House - Big Brother shines a very bright light at them, but still they won't come out. Big Brother removes 6 of them

Day 14 in the Big Brother House- Big Brother shines that light again, and another 4 of the shy housemates are evicted:(


Day 18 in the Big Brother House - Big Brother turns off the turner, turns on the sauna and leaves 14 shy housemates alone. No bright light.

Day 19 in the Big Brother House - A housemate has decided she's had enough of all this and out she comes to check out the luxurious surroundings! She's a very pretty CLB hen, and is closely followed by another. Big Brother is still trying to check the gender of this 2nd housemate, it is already being henpecked poor thing.

2nd hatching- (the observant amongst you will notice the egg hatching is white!!)



I haven't dared tell Mojo that the CLB hen is laying white eggs

 I am hoping and wondering whether Billy no mates and CLB hen that Mojo gave me,

will between them produce blue layers...only time will tell??










 

Day 21 in the Big Brother house- one housemate a gorgeous brahma has made an entrance, one final ?brahma still in shell, but making lots of noise.


Looking forward to this final hatch, to see what we have.
