All those who do evil: beware of the Rhoberts!

Over the course of this novel, Andrea experiences date rape and perpetrates revengeful gay rape, two very controversial subjects in themselves. But despite the shock factor, the author handles them with care and sensitivity so you couldn't imagine the book any other way. Initially you may be mistaken of the subject matter if you go by the title of this novel alone. I immediately thought that I would be reviewing a purely erotic novel. But this turned out not to be the case. Admittedly there are scenes of a sexual nature, but they are intertwined with blackmail, intrigue and murder. An excellent mix for any novel. At times the events were quite comical though I am not entirely sure this was intended! I thoroughly enjoyed Quenched from beginning to end and will certainly be looking out from more of this author in the future. Order: click picture below -------------------- |

| With Hitler’s Third Reich crumbling, a secret Nazi biological attack is unleashed, releasing over 1000 “weather balloons” with a deadly virus on-board each of them. Now, in modern-day America, the virus is innocently released. After so many years waiting, the virus had mutated into something even the evil doctor of inspiration had not anticipated. The voracious virus promptly infects its human hosts at 100 percent effectiveness with a malady that enhances their core make-up—what they truly are—into a ridiculously bizarre representation of what they were before they became infected, good or evil. The rapid and horrific explosion of metamorphosis is shocking, even if it is sometimes a good thing—a needful thing. The battle between good and evil suddenly erupts as both sides viciously go at each other in a nighttime street battle that sometimes goes hand-to-hand. Some say that good always wins over evil. |

Throughout the long enduring months after being told our mother had Alzheimer’s, it was so hard to realize she had forgotten her family. There were no more phone calls, cards or that sweet voice talking to us anymore. It wasn’t her with that cute little smile or just a friendly hug. This was a struggle for all of us; she had basically forgotten how to do anything. Medically through testing, her brain had given way to a devastating disease that would now control her very being. No more laughter, just a frown. No more talks, just a whisper. And now there were tears—tears that could not be explained. Worrying and fretfulness took over this loving lady, wondering where her children were or anything she could have thought of. She had just lost everything. Without the times we shared and knowing this lady gave me the best in life she could, I learned all over again the joy of motherhood. No matter what the reason, our loved ones need protection, the understanding of love, and patience. This is what I had to learn all over again after raising my three sons. I was now raising Mama. “If anyone had told me a week earlier that I would be investigating the mysterious death of a kid I had never met, I would have told them to shove off. Not only was that completely not in my nature, it was also the most idiotic thing I have occupied my time with—ever. And that includes the time I made a mud puddle in the back yard and played for hours. And the time I snuck out of my window as part of an imaginary initiation and had nowhere to go but back through the front door.”
Too many questions surround the puzzling death of Ricky Sullivan, and what begins as a series of innocent questions quickly develops into a dangerous game of cat and mouse.
Willing to forfeit but unable to call off the game, Emsley Simons faces the ultimate question: who’s after her?
