IS HE MESSIAH? By Nancy Lee Shrader

If you have never heard the prophecies about Jesus explained, or if you have and want to know more about them, this is the book for you.  IS HE MESSIAH very thoroughly goes through prophecies from the Old Testament, following each one with quoted scriptures from the New Testament showing that Jesus is the fulfillment of each prophecy.  There are prophesies about the coming Messiah concerning bloodline, Son of God, born of a virgin at a certain time and place, and miracles, to name just a few.  Nancy takes the reader through each step of Jesus’ life from birth to death, resurrection and ascension, showing all along the way how each prophecy is fulfilled by Jesus.  As a special bonus, there are poems interspersed throughout the book.  Since I am a poet myself, I especially appreciate these excellent poems.  And Nancy doesn’t end it here but includes future prophecies of the second coming of the Messiah.  I recommend that you read IS HE MESSIAH to become more aware of how completely Jesus fulfills all prophecies about a coming Messiah and what that means to each one of us.

Is He the Messiah:

By: Nancy Lee Shrader

Scripture at its best, "Is He the Messiah" is a breakdown of parables and prophecies set forth in the Bible. Written for those who have difficulty understanding the rough, hard to understand- words of the Bible.

Personally I am not a Biblical scholar, nor have I had trouble understanding the Bible's message, but some people do. I've heard from several people that the reason they don't read the Bible is because it's too hard to understand, well "Is He the Messiah" would be helpful with this quest. Nancy does a heart-felt job with the difficult task of breaking down the scriptures, and I recommend this read for anyone who has trouble understand the most important history book in the world. The poetry adds a nice touch.

Although many people today believe that Jesus Christ is the Messiah, there are those that do not. The Old Testament of the Bible delivers many prophesies relating to the Messiah. These prophesies concern His birth, life, miracles, and death.

There are never-ending discussions and arguments about who the Messiah is or was, and there are those who still wait for His arrival. To those who believe the Old Testament of the Holy Bible, it is obvious that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

Is He Messiah? Messianic Prophesies Revealed! is one woman’s comprehensive Bible study seeking proof that validates the prophesies which indicate that Jesus is the Messiah. The book begins with the birth of Christ and how Jesus was born in Bethlehem descended from Abraham as prophesied. It goes on to show how many of the miracles that Jesus performed were also prophesied, as well as prophesies that have yet to be fulfilled, those of the second coming of the Messiah.

Nancy Lee Shrader appears to be very knowledgeable about the Bible. This book is written in easy to understand language and format. The text is supplemented with insightful poems written by the author which flow well throughout the book. I am not sure how easily convinced a non-believer would be even after reading this book. However, it is a great book to supplement one’s own research of the Bible and the Messiah. With Is He Messiah? Messianic Prophesies Revealed!, Ms. Shrader has provided excellent proof that Jesus fulfilled not only one prophecy, but many, proving that He is the Messiah.

PublishAmerica Presents IS HE MESSIAH? by Nancy Lee Shrader

Frederick, MD April 24, 2007
-- PublishAmerica is proud to present IS HE MESSIAH?: Messianic Prophecies Revealed! by Nancy Lee Shrader of Beckley, West Virginia.

IS HE MESSIAH? Messianic Prophecies Revealed! deals with prophecies that foretell of the Coming Messiah, and the fulfillment of those prophecies. Messianic Prophecies that are proclaimed by the prophets of old to a sinful world - a promise of salvation through the only begotten Son of God - are revealed in the embodiment of Jesus Christ - God in human form. These Messianic Prophecies also include future prophecies concerning the Second Coming of this same Messiah. The Messiah, Jesus, first as a helpless innocent babe in a lowly stable, returns a second time as King of kings and Lord of lords. In a two-part return - first to rapture the faithful, then to conquer evil and judge the world - bringing Everlasting Life to the children of God.

END

In the garden of Gethsemane Jesus knelt down and prayed to His Father in heaven.  Father, for you all things are possible; remove this cup from me; yet, not my will Father, but Your Will Be Done.

In those long hours before, JESUS prayed there for me.

Knowing each moment HE would be led to the tree.

.JESUS looked up in prayer to HIS FATHER above.

Speaking my name with the voice of love.

The sins of the world weighed heavy you see.

And many of those sins belong to me.

My sins He forgave long before I was born.

I was healed as His flesh was ripped and torn.

He went willingly to die on my behalf you see.

HIS life's blood spilled out as HE was nailed to the tree.

HE said FATHER forgive them, they know not what they do.

I'm telling you my friend, HE did this for me and for you.

In our life's journey many heros we'll find.

None will be like JESUS who is meek and kind.

Look no farther my friend than the end of a prayer.

For your LORD and SAVIOR will always be there.

In the good times and bad, JESUS walks by our side.

Rejoices in our gladnes, and holds us when we've cried.

Our sins He left there, walled up in HIS tomb

Call out HIS NAME, in HIS Kingdom there's room.

There's plenty of room for me and for you.

Believe on HIS NAME is all we must do.

Eternal Life will be ours at the end of the day.

No sadness is there our tears will be wiped away.

Synopsis

IS HE MESSIAH?

Messianic Prophecies Revealed!

Part One deals with the blood line through which the Messiah will be born. Each person in this long lineage is promised that greatness would come from their seed. We find that God showed the world through scripture how to trace back the bloodline of His Messiah—His Son. And in each fulfillment of prophecy Jesus is shown to be the Messiah—the Son of God.

Part Two, deals with the time of the Messiah, when He should be born, where He should be born, and when and where His ministry will take place. Every aspect of the birth, life and death is foretold in the Holy Scriptures—a map, so to speak—a map directing God's children to salvation through the coming Messiah—through Jesus.

Part Three, deals with God made man—God born in human form. The Messiah is made flesh in order to conquer sin, which brings man and woman back into a reconciliation with the Father. We learn that all the scriptures must point to only one man—and only one man can be the Messiah.

Part Four, the Messiah is rejected, betrayed, forsaken and accused. In each prophecy that foretells the Messiah's treatment by the masses, Jesus fulfills each and every prophecy.

Part Five deals with the suffering of the Messiah and why. The Messiah will suffer the penalty of sin for all of mankind. Each prophecy Jesus fulfills.

Part Six, deals with the type of death the Messiah will suffer, and after the Messiah is put to death, the Messiah will live again. The Messiah will return to the Father and how these things will happen. Jesus fulfills each and every prophecy.

Part Seven, deals with the second coming of the Messiah, and the state of the world before this happens. The second coming of the Messiah will be the second coming of Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.

INTRODUCTION

TO

IS He MESSIAH?

Messianic Prophecies Revealed!

There are passages throughout the Holy Bible that foretell of the coming of the Messiah Jesus Christ. The prophecies tell us things that prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that Jesus Christ is the only Son of the LIVING GOD. Most of these prophecies were written hundreds of years before Jesus was born. These were written so that there would be no mistake of whom the Messiah would be.

Anyone claiming to be the Messiah would have to fulfill all the prophecies written in the scriptures of the Bible. And as far as I’m concerned and as many others share my belief, Jesus is the Messiah, who was promised from the beginning, at the creation of the world.

Jesus quoted these scriptures in His teachings, so all would know that He is the only Son of God. In these prophecies we are told where the Messiah will be born, and who his ancestors would be. We are able to trace His family all the way back to Adam. From Adam came Noah. From Noah came Shem. From Shem came Abraham. From Abraham came Isaac. From Isaac came Jacob. From Jacob came Judah. From Judah came David. And from David’s line came Mary the mother of Jesus and Joseph His earthly father.

We will be told how he will teach the masses, and that he will perform miracles. Through these prophecies we will be told every aspect of the life of Jesus and His thirty-three years He walked this earth as like a son of man, but in truth the Son of God. We will find in these scriptures about his death, resurrection and ascension. Then the scriptures will tell us what to expect in the future when Jesus returns for the souls of men who are born again in Christ. When I finish this Bible Study, you will not have any doubt as to whom the Messiah is. JESUS CHRIST IS, THE ONLY SON OF THE LIVING GOD. He is the same one who was, who is, and is to come. He lived then. He lives now. He lives forever. All who are born again in Jesus Christ will have Eternal Life.

NATIONS BLESSED THROUGH ABRAHAM : PROPHECY

Genesis C. 12 V. 2-3

2. And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:

3. And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

In this passage, God has made a promise to make Abraham; to make him a great and powerful nation. Then it goes on to say that all the nations of the earth will be blessed through him, because Abraham found favor with God. How could the nations of the earth be blessed through Abraham? You may ask. The only way that they could be blessed by Abraham is that they would be saved because of God’s promise to Abraham. So how could they be saved? The Messiah, who was promised by God, brings with Him salvation for all. Jesus is that descendant of Abraham. In the last passage from C. 22, God gives His reason why the world would be blessed through Abraham. Abraham did not withhold his only son from God. God would make his seed a blessing for all the earth through God’s only Son. God would send a Messiah from the bloodline of Abraham to be the savior of the world. Because Abraham trusted in the LORD when he offered Isaac, the son he loved as a sacrifice to God. Does Jesus fulfill the prophecy of the Messiah?

Genesis C.18 V. 18 - Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him?

Abraham was promised by God that from his seed would come a great nation and that great nation would be blessed through him. How could an ancestor of a nation of people be the reason they were blest? You may ask. It is from Abraham’s family line that the Messiah was called. The promised Messiah would save the world from the sins of the flesh and make mankind worthy to be in the presence of God. This promised Messiah would take the sins of mankind upon Himself and therefore mankind would be blessed. Does Jesus fulfill this prophecy?

Genesis C. 22 V. 18 - And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed: because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Here again in this verse, Abraham is promised that all the nations of the earth will be blessed (saved) because Abraham was obedient to God. I have always believed that by Abraham’s one act of obedience; God’s plan for mankind was complete. Abraham did not hold back his only son Isaac from the Will of God. When God told Abraham to offer his son as a burnt offering—Abraham trusted God—even though it was the hardest thing for Abraham to do; he obeyed God. I believe that for this reason, God’s Messiah, the Son of God would be born from the lineage of Abraham. Does Jesus fulfill the prophecy of the Messiah?

Genesis C. 26 V. 4 - And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and I will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed:

It is stated plainly here that all the nations of the world will be blessed by one seed of Abraham. First he is told that his seed will be multiplied as the stars of heaven but to the one seed will God give over all nations. That one seed from Abraham’s lineage will bless all nations down through the history of the world. Does Jesus fulfill this prophecy?

Genesis C. 28 V. 14 - And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in the, and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

Here again Abraham is promised by God that he would be the father of a great nation. This great nation, would be as the dust of the ground and would spread out from east to west and from north to south. However, one seed, out of the many, would be a blessing for the multitude. That One Seed will be the coming Messiah.

Imagine how many particles of dust there are in just one square foot of ground. Now imagine finding one particular dust particle within that square foot of ground. Now lets go a little further and pick out a single particle of dust from only one city—now the entire earth. That is God’s promise to Abraham that his seed will multiply as the dust of the earth. Then out of all those particles one will stand out among all the rest and that one particle—one seed; would become so large that all the other particles—seed; would be drawn together as ONE. This seed is the promised Messiah, by Him all will be blessed. Does Jesus fulfill this prophecy?

ALL NATIONS BLESSED THROUGH ABRAHAM : FULFILLMENT

Acts C.3 V. 25-26

25. Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

26. Unto you first God having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, In turning away every one of you from his iniquities.

In Acts, which is the second part of Luke’s Gospel. Plainly states that those he was speaking to were the children of the prophets—and they believed what the prophets preached. All the people knew that God made a promise to their ancestor Abraham. They all knew that his seed would bless all people. They also knew that from the seed of Abraham the Messiah would come. Many prophets had foretold of the Messiah to come—and the Messiah would be of Abraham’s seed. In verse 26 it states plainly that Jesus the Son of God was sent to take away the sins of the world. JESUS fulfills the prophecy of the Messiah! Jesus is the Messiah!

MESSIAH THE PROMISED SEED OF ABRAHAM : PROPHECY

Genesis C. 17 V. 7-8

7. And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee and to thy seed after thee.

8. And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land wherein thou art a stranger, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.

This passage states it plainly that a seed would come from Abraham family lineage—and this seed would be a God unto Abraham. The Messiah would be of Abraham’s seed—and yet would be Abraham’s God. How can a god be born from the seed of a man? Only if that seed, is also of God. An ever lasting possession will be given to this mighty seed of Abraham. How can anything be an everlasting possession? Man lives out his span and his possessions are given to others after the man dies. Only if his seed who is his God shares the everlasting inheritance. Does Jesus fulfill this prophecy of the Messiah?

THE SEED OF ABRAHAM : FULFILLMENT

Matthew C. 1 V. 1-2-17 -

1.The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

2. Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren

17. So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

This passage states plainly that Jesus was the SEED of Abraham. Does Jesus fulfill the prophecy of the Messiah as the SEED of Abraham? Jesus is the Messiah! Acts C. 3 V. 25 - Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers saying unto Abraham, AND IN THY SEED SHALL ALL THE KINDREDS OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED.Here in Acts we are reminded of the covenant God made unto Abraham that all people will be blessed (saved) through his offspring, one of his descendants. Jesus fulfills this prophecy. Jesus is the Messiah!

Galatians C. 3 V. 16 - Now to Abraham and his seed were the promise made. He saith not, one, AND TO THY SEED, which is Christ.

As many times as I have read this passage it didn’t dawn on me until now when I read the NIV. SEED meaning ONE. That only one person was promised to Abraham and that person is JESUS. How could this prophecy been foretold all those many years before Christ was born, if Christ had not been the promised Messiah? The more prophecies I find, the more they prove that JESUS CHRIST, is the SON OF GOD the MESSIAH. Jesus fulfills the prophecy of the Messiah. Jesus is the Messiah!

Galatians C. 3 V. 26 to 29

26. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

27. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

28. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male or female: for ye are all on in Christ Jesus.

29. And if ye be Christ’s then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

All are the children of God who have been baptized in Christ Jesus. When we are baptized; we put on Christ as a covering for the sins we have committed. However, those sins are no more in the presence of God. Those sins are forgotten by the sacrifice Jesus offered up on the Cross for the forgiveness of sins. God has erased those sins from His memory.

Note the last two verses in this passage. Verse 28 tells us that because we have been baptized into Christ there is no difference in race or nationality. There isn’t a difference between male and female. We are all the same in Christ Jesus. And in verse 29, since we are all in Christ then we are seeds unto Abraham. As many as there are stars in the skies. Jesus fulfills the prophecy of the Messiah! Jesus is the Messiah!

Hebrews C. 2 V. 16 - For verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham.

God could have sent His Messiah in the form of an angel with all the powers that they possess. No, God sent His Son, His only Son as the seed of a man and not just any man. God sent His Son from the seed of Abraham who had found favor in the eyes of God. Because of the favor God felt toward Abraham God promised that from the seed of Abraham would come the Messiah. A promise from God is always kept. Jesus fulfills this prophecy of the Messiah! Jesus is the Messiah!
