Over the course of several years I have read many books on the "End Time" events that are told about in scripture. Quite often those books used "theologically correct terminology," which proved to be more confusing that it did in answering questions. I had the opportunity to read the book, IS IT NOW? The End of Days! By Nancy Shrader and what a book it was. Is it Now? The End of Days is one of the easiest to understand books on prophecy that I have ever read. Not only is this book filled with scriptures releating to end time events, it sounds a clarion call to people everywhere to come to the saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. Nancy Shrader will be the first to tell you that by no means is she considered to be a Bible Scholar or a renowned prophecy scholar, minister or educator. Nancy may not use the big words that you would expect to find in a study of this nature, but rather uses everyday words that most folks can and will understand. While you may not agree with everything that Nancy Shrader has written you must admire her zeal to search scriptures to find the truth. If you are looking for a clear, easy to read, understandable book on end time events, then IS IT NOW? The End of Days! is the book for you.

We have heard great sermons preached about: The end of time...Days, watched movies and even read many books concerning this prophecy. Yet I doubt, if such prophetic inspiration has ever gone to such depth as: Nancy Lee Shrader's new book: "Is It Now? The End Of Days!"
Useing the Bible and scripture, upon scripture the author backs up her words and views, not only concerning the end days, but of what we must do afterward, where we will go ( as believer's) and explains the kingdom of Heaven, that awaits those who endure: the glorious coming of the Lord. The author offers her: Inspiration and wisdom of words to the readers of her book, as a study of prophetic signs. It has most definately left this reader wondering: are we now living in the end days?.
Read this book, then you decide: Is it now and are we ready?

Nancy's publishing was interesting. Where she included the actual Bible verses to compare her opinions to the actual scripture, made it easier. It has shown that Christianity is a personal choice, but most of all not something to be taken lightly or put off to a last minute dicission. If nothing else it will make you question yourself and todays happenings.

The signs are all around us, but are believers as well as non-believers seeing them. Nancy Lee Shrader gives us her personal interpretation of the scriptures, but also gives us the references to check them out for ourselves. Another thing I like about Nancy's book, is the fact, she uses down to earth language to get her point across.
Most of us have heard stories about what we can expect at the end of time, but Nancy Lee has given Bible verses to back up what she believes. Are we living in the days God calls the beginning of sorrows? Not everyone will agree, but her book will certainly leave readers asking that all important question. IS It Now The End of Days? By reading Nancy's book and the bible, we are closer to having an answer.

My second book signing was my first outdoor festival. Abingdon is one of the most beautiful cities I have ever visited, with its old historic buildings. I looked in one direction to see a horse drawn buggy and in the other direction a bus that looked like what I first thought was a real trolley. I met three other authors during my day of signing. Being interviewed on the local radio station was James Campbell, author of Luther's Mule and Moonshine Money and Misery. The two other authors signing with me were Bridgett Anne Jackson, author of Secrets of a Hidden Trail, and Roger Gilmner, author of Kit Fox on the Prowl. I am looking forward to another year and another Festival in Abingdon, Virginia.
AND OH BY THE WAY!
To Dorothy, the desk clerk at my motel, a BIG THANK YOU. She might not have been at the Festival for the signing of the books, but asked for one without the glamor of the day. Thank you, Dorothy, you will forever be in my prayers.

"IS IT NOW? The End of Days!" is a question that has plagued many people down through the centuries from the time the first prophet uttered the first EndTime Prophecy. When will it come? How will it come? Who will be here to see it happen? Will we find hope during the final days on earth? Will we even be here to witness this time?These are just a few of the questions that will be answered in this study into the End Time Prophecies.
The answers we are seeking are found in the one thousand six hundred and ninty five pages of the Holy Bible. The first three parts of IS IT NOW? The End of Days! is an overview of the time leading up to the coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Part four groups together all the prophecies that foretell of the Rapture, when all the faithful believers in Christ are snatched away from their earthly lives and join Christ in His heavenly realm. Snached away from the coming Tribulations that will be unleashed upon a sinful world. In part five we will discover the prophecies that foretell of the second coming of Jesus Christ. This coming will come in two parts, the Rapture and the Glorious Appearing.Prophecies shows us that the second coming will come in two seperate events. First when the true believers are snached away and second when Jesus returns physically to earth.
Part six, prophecies foretell of the Rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem and the Rise and Fall of Babylone, the kingdom of the antichrist. How these two construction projects will soon come to pass and why they must come to pass.
Part seven we will learn how God's wrath is mingled with His mercy upon those who missed out on the Rapture. As each judgment is handed down and God's wrath is unleashed, God is crying out to a sinful world, Follow Me and Live. These judgments are to get the attention of all those who are dragging their feet when it comes to their salvation.
Part eight we will learn of God's judgments upon the people of Earth. Judgments that are listed in the Book of Revelation. These judgments were revealed after Jesus ascended into heaven to Saint John on the Isle of Patmos. These warnings are given to the people of earth before they happen.
Part nine will give in detail as to what to expect from the unholy threesome, the antichrist, the false prophet and satan, the emenies of God and His Christ. We are given scripture so we will recognize the man of sin andhis followers. We learn that during the Great Tribulations the antichrist is indwelt by satan. The false prophet will set up a one world religion causing men and women to worship the antichrist and turn away from the one true God.
Part ten tells us of two heavenly witnesses who are sent to earth to win souls for Christ. Their battle with the antichrist brings about their deaths while the world rejoices over the deaths of these two prophets of God. Their bodies will lay in the street for three and a half days until by the power of God they live again. They they are called by God to return to heaven. This event will be witnessed by all on the earth at the same time.
Part eleven tells of saints, during those last days, some will be martyred for their faith in Christ, while others will endure the worst days ever seen on the earth, until Jesus comes and sets up His Kingdom. The unredeemed are those who follow the antichrist into the flames of hell.
Part twelve tells of the Glorious Appearing, when Jesus Christ descends from the Throne of God on the clouds of heaven to claim the children of God and do battle with the antichrist in the battle of Armageddon, the last battle before Christ sets up His Everlasting Kingdom, foretold in part thirteen.
Part fourteen brings the Kingdom that has no end. This kingdom is described as a place where there is no more pain, no suffering and all tears are wiped away by the salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior of the world. The White Throne Judgment depicted in the Epilogue when all people from all ages will be judged for their works. At this judgment all knees will bow and every tongue shall confess that Christ is Lord. Even satan himself will bow to the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings.
Then the part that is entitled Heaven brings about the beginning of life for all who have embraced the truth that Jesus Christ is the only Son of the Living God.
The final chapter in this Bible Study deals with different versions of the Holy Bible and how in at least one, passages have been left out or changed.
My book, IS IT NOW? The End of Days! is a personal Bible Study. I don't claim to be a renownedprophecy scholar, minister or educator and I'm definitely not an English major. However, I am a new creature in Christ Jesus as well as a wife, mother and grandmother from the state of West Virginia. I may not use the big words that you would expect to find in a study such as this. What you will find are my own personal interpretations and beliefs. I'm not forcing anyone to share my beliefs. The choice is up to each individual. What I am asking is for each person who reads this Bible Study, to open God's Book and read these prophecies for themselves. When you are finished, see if your beliefs coincide with mine that Jesus is coming and coming soon.
What I have discovered about the Book of Revelation is that it is a promise from God. A promise to all of everlasting reward. For some a reward of everlasting life through Jesus Christ. For others a reward of everlasting damnation, because they rejected the only begotten Son of God. Prophecies that the Risen Jesus gave to Saint John the Divine on the Isle of Patmos.It is my belief that Jesus will RAPTURE His church and then the Tribulations will be unleashed. The antichrist and the false prophet under the influence of satan will have a seven year rule over the people of Earth who missed the RAPTURE. The whole point of this Bible Study is to change the numbers of those who will find themselves left behind to face the Wrath of GOD!

Friday in the Park is a annual event in downtown Beckley, WV. Fridays in the Park began this year on May 12 and ended on September 1. Entertainment was amazing and I am looking forward to joining them every Friday in the 2007.

9/9 Uptown Kid's Fair - Various Booths & Fun. The sun was out as children gathered along the sidewalk awaiting the Parade. Games of all kinds, rides, face-painting, baloons and much more. Later that day Airplanes Rides at Raleigh County Airport, Celebrity game at Beckley Little League, 103CIR Home run derby &Groovy/Power Country punt, pass &kick competition. Ending the Festival, Fireworks lit up the skys over Beckley, WV.
I was honored to be included in the Annual Kid's Classic Festival. I enjoyed watching the children end their summber vacation and begin their new school year with a bang.
I would like to thank Jill who organized the Festival for including a Meet The Author Booth in this wonderful festival.

EMAIL SENT TO FRIENDS
Well I'm back from the Festival. Sold four books and could have sold about 16 if I was able to take credit cards. Those people took my business cards so maybe they will order from the publisher or one of the other on line venders. I spoke with a bookstore owner from Kentucky, Mary Ellen introduced me to, and he took three books on consignment. I was also give a card by the marketing director for Borders and she asked me to send her a book. There may be an opening there, time will tell. Anyway, I had a wonderful time, the reception was very casual and I listened to a talk by Sharon McCrum, the author of Saint Dale. My husband attended all the programs while I was signing and seemed to have a good time. Before any of you ask, I'm glad I went, I had a great time and met four PA authors. I was also given cards from other publishing companies. Oh when you check into the Holiday Inn as a signing author, you are treated like royality. Would I do it again? Yes!

It sounds like you had a wonderful time. I sure wish that my book had been out, but it probably won't be out until June. Do they have this festival every year? I would love to go next year because I will have my book by then. Sound like you may have all kinds of prospects by going there. I think it would be a wonderful experience, and I hope you see many sales from it. That is what we all need. Just a chance to get out names out there. Keep up the good work. I bet it really makes you feel like a writer. HuH!

OVERCOMES OBSTACLES TO EXCEL ON DIAMOND
Imagine for a moment the emotions experienced by Rich and Stephenie Pilkington during a routine checkup for Stephanie’s pregnancy. Following the 
completion of an ultrasound to discover the baby’s sex, the Doctor says, “Your unborn boy has a Congenital Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation, we need to discuss a few options.” After catching their breath, the Pilkington’s listened to the options. Needless to say, most of the options were not acceptable. The Pilkington’s choose to hope for the best and continue the pregnancy.
Congenital Cystic Adenomatoid Malformation / CCAM of the lung is a relatively rare abnormality that appears on an ultrasound as a solid or cystic mass (tumor) of pulmonary tissue that has an abundance of bronchial structures (breathing channels).
Weekly checkups continued and the mass remained but the growth was minimal. Aaron was born a few months later, but the Pilkington’s knew they were not out of the danger zone for newborn Aaron. At four months, the doctors performed a surgery to remove the lower left lobe of Aaron’s lung. Expecting to stay in the hospital for a week, miraculously, Aaron was released after only two days. The surgery was a huge success and Aaron began to build his strength. No further complications were found during routine checkup visits and Aaron’s growth is now normal. The only daily reminder for the Pilkington’s is a scar from Aaron’s back to his sternum.
Now with a healthy infant at home, the Pilkington’s and older brother Tyler (now 16) were able to resume a normal family life. Following Tyler’s lead, Aaron quickly turned to baseball as a toddler.
Fast forward to present day and a very healthy eight year old Aaron. After many years of playing catch and practicing baseball with Tyler, Aaron has become one of the top eight year old players in the South Charlotte area. Eight times this season, Aaron has connected for home runs at Park Sharon baseball fields. No, not in the park home runs, but line drives easily clearing the four foot high fence in right field, 136 feet from home plate. Maybe even more impressive are the five home runs Aaron hit as a seven year old last season. Amazing statistics for a little boy that some doctors thought would never make it to birth.
Aaron’s father realizes how lucky the Pilkington’s were.
“The best case scenario happened for us with Aaron and we are extremely grateful. Today he is like every other kid playing baseball and football. We still worry at times, but he has never had any problems playing sports.”
As an eight year old at Park Sharon Athletic Association, Pilkington plays in a machine pitch league. These machines are set to pitch between 38-40 mph after a coach sets the ball on the machine and pulls a lever. In addition to playing first base and shortstop for his recreation team at Park Sharon, Aaron starts at shortstop for the Park Sharon Challenge Team. The Challenge team is comprised of some of the top players in the league.
According to Aaron’s Challenge Team coach, Don Riggs, Aaron is always one of the best players on the field.
“Aaron is one of the top athletes at Park Sharon, his baseball knowledge is super for an eight year old. With the way he plays, you would think he was at least ten years old. Aaron is a real pleasure to coach.”
In a recent Challenge League game, Aaron’s box score read: grand slam home run, three run home run, double, and single for a total of nine runs batted in. According to Riggs, one of the home runs traveled an estimated 180 feet.
Aaron is a very normal eight year old. When asked about his baseball accomplishments and why he likes to play the game he replied as most eight year old boys would.
“I like to play baseball with my friends and to meet new people. Playing baseball here at Park Sharon is fun. I also like to play baseball with my big brother.”
In addition to helping his brother, older brother Tyler is also one of the top baseball players in the area. A rising junior at Weddington High School, the lefthander, throws an 86 mph fastball. The last few summers, Tyler has played for Team Charlotte, the 2005 AAU (Amateur Athletic Union) National Champion runner-up and for the South Charlotte Panthers. Tyler also plays for the On Deck O’s baseball teams. Some of the top college coaches in the state have taken notice and are showing interest in signing “Aaron’s older brother.”
Aaron plans to a full summer of baseball practice and All-Star play for Park Sharon.
Life is about obstacles and finding ways to conquer those obstacles. For Aaron Pilkington and his family, his biggest challenge came before he was born. The South Charlotte Sports Report wants to wish Aaron continued success both on and off the field.
We, the Pilkington, Shrader, Haydon, Maiolo, Prince, and Rettell families are very proud of Aaron!
