Native Animal Network

Please feel free to browse our site and contact us if you have any queries.

The Native Animal Network is a voluntary organisation concerned with the care of sick, orphaned and injured native animals. It is primarily an information service for members and the general public.

However, not only do they assist those who come across an injured or orphaned native animal, their  purpose extends far beyond that.

  • Rescue missions
  • Intensive care nursing of sick, injured or orphaned joeys like baby Quokka (pictured right)
  • Assisting with the recapture of escapees and their return to their owners, with advice if appropriate on how to avoid a recurrence.
  • Workshops and seminars on care and handling of injured and orphaned native animals in veterinary care and native animal husbandry
  • Visits to schools and institutions
  • General meetings to enable members to hear speakers and exchange experiences
  • A quarterly magazine covering technical aspects as well as matters of general interest
