In addition to the standard software applications that come with Treo
600, I have found the following to be very useful or entertaining, most of them are free:
eBook, sound, video applications
Plucker - free offline news or web page reader, good for some eBooks.
TiBR Lite - freeware PalmDoc reader for Palm OS.
MovieRec - a very nice and useful program, which allows you to record video with sound.
RealPlayer - the mobile version of RealPlayer.
PocketTunes - a nice MP3 player, which is (was) available for download when you register your Treo 600.
Tools and add-ons
SyncAll -
make sure that HotSync backups ALL you data.
KeyCaps600 - a must have program, which makes entering text even easier.
FileZ - freeware file manager.
HappyDays - neat program for reminding you about birthdays of people in your contact list.
iNoah/Noah Lite - an English dictionary, iNoah requires internet connection for lookup, Noah Lite is a standalone version.
MinutesPlus - application to track the monthly minute usage for PalmOS based smartphones.
Profeo 600 Lite
- this is my favorite :-) - have you ever wished that there were
different profiles on your Treo 600. Well, this application does
exactly that.
Profeo SystemAlarms
- this is another of my favorites :-).
TrackerDog - tracks the software installed on your PalmOs organizer and informs you when a new version becomes available.
PickEM
- a very good replacement for the standard Treo 600 camera application,
which fixes the blue dots problem and provides zoom. Actualy it is sad,
that there is need for such an application ...
Qset - a small program, which allows you to change the JPEG compession ratio used by the camera library.
Games
Blocks
BridgeOC - free version of the popular card game Bridge.
Hearts
MedievalHeroes - an interesting strategy game - I have just the limited trial version.
MonoPalm - free monopoly game for Palm OS.
PilotMines - free minesweeper game
SpaceTrader - quite addictive game, based on the idea of the classic "Privateer" game for PC.
Tower
Elite - space simulation - a clone of Elite for PC.
