Common for Profeo applications is that
they have been designed as "set-and-forget" utilities - once you
set them up, you will rarely need to start them again. Another
common feature of all Profeo programs, is that they are flexible -
almost any functionality can be disabled if you don't want it.
Profeo SystemAlarms alows
you to define a number
of alarms, based on the remaining capacity of the battery, the main
memory or the expansion card. When the remaining capacity drops below
user defined levels, an Attention Manager notification is displayed,
which mey be accompanied by a sound or vibration. The last version adds
several alarm levels and also has the option to replace the standard
PalmOS low battery warning with Attention Manager notification. Profeo
SA is
compatible with all handhelds with PalmOS 4.0 or higher and it will
automatically adjust for the cases when the handheld doesn't support a
particular feature of the program (e.g., vibration).
Profeo 600 Lite is profile manager for Treo 600. It has been designed for people, who have more
sophisticated needs than just two modes of operation for the light and the radio. Profeo 600 Lite
provides up to four profiles, that can be switched automatically for
much better tuning of Treo 600 to your preferences. Profeo 600 Lite supports hotkey overriding of the current settings to make
up for cases when the default schedule is not what you need at the
moment.
Profeo 600 "Dark Edition" is an extended (shareware) version of Profeo 600 Lite, which is currently being
designed, but I have no fixed release plans about it yet. Ideally, it will
have the following extended/additional features - multiple expanded
profiles with autoswitching,
SMS/VM
notifications, call forwarding control, volume/sounds control and other. Please stay tuned
for more information.
Concept applcations: In this
category fall Profeo RadioControl, Profeo LightControl, and Profeo LineSwitch.

Concept Applications page for more information and

Profeo 600 Lite is a simple profile manager, which provides 4
profiles, that can be
switched automatically. For each of the profiles can be configured the
desired radio
state, display brightness, keyboard/display backlight
and display diming options. Additionally, at any time the current state can be
overriden by using the application hotkey. The latest release
of Profeo 600 Lite is:
Profeo 600 Lite (P600LT.prc) v0.8.7.1
(The 0.9.2 beta is available only in the Downloads section of mytreo.net !)
This text has not been completely updated for version 0.9 yet !
Version 0.9 has new preference structure, so you will have to recreate
your profiles. New in this version is the ability to apply software
mute for the profiles or through the hotkey. It is also possible to
select two daytime brightness levels through the hotkey override form. Verison 0.8.7.1 adds "light previews", phone ringer volume control, and fixes all known bugs. Version 0.8.5 introduces hotkey support (currently only the light mode
and the radio can be adjusted - the sound
options will be available in next releases) and some graphic controls
in the profile edit form. I would appreciate all feedback regarding the
new features, especially the hotkey funcitonality. Please send me
feedback if you find the provided override options useful, are they
fast to use, what else would you like to see on this form, are the
controls intuitive and easy to handle, etc.
Known issues:
- If an override is requested while in the phone or the sms
application, the keyboard backlight may be incorrect when you switch to
other applications. The main reason for this is that these applications
have their own light control and thus interfere with Profeo
600 Lite. If this happens, a workaround is to turn off and back on your
Treo to alow it to reestablish its light settings. This will be fixed in
one of the next releases.

Profeo SystemAlarms
v0.6 is a system alarm application for any handheld
with PalmOS4.0 or above. It allows you to set up
to 5 alarms based on the battery, memory and expansion card remaining
capacity, each with different trigger level (2-50%). You can set
multiple
alarms for the same parameter (battery, etc.), each with different
level and alarm notification options. The program will check every 30 minutes the current state of the alarm
triggers. When an alarm has been triggered, the program will
notify you about this condition through the PalmOS attention manager.
It is
possible to chose if the alarms should be insistent or subtle. These
alarms can be acknowledged
by using the standard Attention Manager buttons. If you press OK in the
Attention Manager dialog, then the alarm will be
acknowledged and dimissed. If you press snooze, then it will change to
the small star in the title bar.
If you chose GoTo, you will go to a
form, which will show you the memory and battery levels and is
shows you the state of each of the alarms - normal,
triggered, acknowledged. The form allows you to acknowledge all alarms
or to reset all alarms to normal state. This form is also available
in the main Profeo SA application.
NOTE: Starting from version 0.5.3, the
SystemAlarms information screen is the default screen when you start
Profeo SA. The program settings are now accessible through the menu !
You can also
chose to automaticaly reset all alarms every day at noon, thus you will
not forget that they have been triggered. All acknowledges will persist device reset.
Profeo SA should be compatible with any handheld with PalmOS 4.0 or
higher. If the handheld doesn't have VFS support, then it will not be
possible to set card alarms. Additionally, if the devices doesn't have
vibration, then it will not br possible to use vibration reminders.
Instalation instructions
Before installing Profeo SA v0.6, please disable and delete any
previous version of the program. In order to install Profeo SA you just
have to HotSync it by using your favorite HotSyng program. By default
all Profeo program are placed in the "Utilities" group in the standard
PalmOS Application Launcher.
Known issues:
1. 5-way navigation works only on Treo 600
smartphones. This might be fixed in a future release of the program,
but is not a high-priority item.
