Here are some pictures of the transportation, packing and distribution of the food for families in extreme need in Nicaragua.

Total collected in Calgary: USD$ 2,278.29 plus USD$520.00 collected in Managua.

For a total of USD$2,798.29

The Money was distributed as follows:

$2,420.00 to buy groceries to cover 124 families in need of help.

$100.00 donated to buy sanitary packages for children with cancer being attended at the children hospital “La Mascota” in Managua. The hospital doesn’t cover for everything they need.

$100.00 to buy 5 extra packages of food for 5 more families after Christmas.

$78.29 used to cook food to be distributed among poor elders leaving in the streets.

$100.00 donated to a senior’s asylum in the city of Leon. A Christmas dinner after Christmas (stuffed chicken, rise, salad, bread and drinks plus some small gifs) was prepared with this money to feed 80 seniors and 20 workers and care gives of the asylum. The person who cooked the meal donated her time to buy the products and to cook them.

We also got a donation consisting in 50 bags of bread.

Thanks a million to all of the contributors in Calgary and in Managua and to all of the volunteers in the city of Managua who worked very hard to make this project a reality.

More money is also being sent to provide cooked food to poor seniors in Managua on a weekly basis.
