Welcome to Sentosa International Airport. A new development by the CAAS(Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore). The construction is to start on 11th August 2008. The first arrival will be an Asiana A330-300 from Seoul and the first departure will be an A300B4 operated by Air Nuigini at 5:40am on the 2nd of September 2008.
This airport has been created to give peace of mind to travellers and to balance out air traffic from Singapore's very busy Changi Airport. The orginal plan of the devolpment was for regional air traffic but due to intrest from certain airlines the CAAS has opened the airport for all airlines. All phases of work are set to be completed by December 2009.
