Mrs. Ambre's First Grade Class

Welcome to first grade at Watson Elementary School and to a new and exciting school year.  It will be my pleasure to be your child’s teacher. Let me introduce myself to you!  I am Mrs. Ambre and I am excited to be teaching first grade this year.  I earned my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University in the state of Indiana.  I started teaching in August 2004.  I moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, in June of 2005.  I can't wait to offer your child a challenging and busy first grade experience.

First grade is an essential year for your child.  Your child will spend several hours per day sharpening their skills.  The knowledge they obtain in first grade is needed for learning advanced skills in elementary school and for life.

Successful integration of support between school and home is important for your child to reach his/her potential, both academically and behaviorally.  Therefore, I will be contacting you frequently to inform you of the progress we are making in the classroom.  I will also be sending home newsletters with important dates and upcoming events.  If any questions or concerns should arise through the year, please do not hesitate to contact me.
