If there is one thing that phones running on Windows Mobile could do is have a faster processor. The Asus P565 can now officially claim being the fastest phone, by using an 800MHz Marvel processor.
Besides that, the P535 has a 3 megapixels camera that can record videos at up to QVGA (320 by 240) resolution at 24 frames per second. To optimize finger navigation, the P565 uses Glide, the Asus version of HTC`s TouchFlo and Samsung`s TouchWiz.
Connectivity options are plenty, with HSDPA, GPS and wifi taking the limelight. The P535 is a tri-band phone, so it will not be available in all parts of the world. The screen is a VGA unit at 2.8 inches, above average but not a benchmark setter.
However, potential buyers will find the 128MB RAM does not complement the P565`s powerful processor. Never the less, 128MB is sufficient, but there are manufactures that include up to 288Mb RAM in their products. The p565 runs on Windows Mobile 6.1 professional.
If you`re familiar with Net 60, you might want to take note that a latest version is available. However, this version does not support yet the touch UI of the Nokia 5800. Another interesting point is that the version 2.0 supports all S60 v3 devices, including the E-series, Samsung i450 and the 8 megapixels wonder, the Samsung Innov8. For UIQ users, version 2.0 supports Symbian OS 9.0, 9.1 and 9.2+.The development environments that are supported are Windows XP and Vista on Visual Studio 2005 and Visual Studio 2008.Here is the link for the 30 day evaluation download.
