Adopting a ferret or two from a Ferret Shelter or Care House Like This one is a
great way to give wonderful ferrets a loving Forever Home. They all have ferrets
in all age groups and colors and I will As well, and I do Believe They adopt in
singles, pairs and some of the other Shelters that are really great Adopt in Trios
As well if that is what you would like to do! I Adopt in Pairs and I might have A Trio
Case Some Times.

Hello all,
I just heard that the Governor's office is asking the public's opinion on
our ferret amnesty bill. I absolutely urge you all to call in your
support for this bill as soon as possible. Follow the prompts and select
the one that asks for you opionon on legislation. I just called but I
want you all to listen carefully in case it changes. To respond to
legislation, press #2, then listen for SB 89, press #3, then to support
SB 89 press #1. Please have all of your friends and family call in.
This is, I believe good news but we must answer this loud and clear!
The Governor's number is: 916 445-2841
Don't let this unique opportunity to be heard by the Governor's Office go
by!
Some folks from out of state have asked if they should call, and I don't
see what's wrong with that. If you plan to move or visit CA this will
affect you too someday. But, we absolutely MUST have Californians call
so if you live in CA get on the phone and please get your friends and
family to call as well.
If you have a web site please post this information. If you have an

When We first got here Rocky & Minnie Were Here Till They got their Forever Home and (Grumpa) he is Here but he is so Berry Old and Kinda Cranky Like Moca(HeeHee)She's not looking (Shhhh Don't tell). Sorry about no Real time PICS yet Momma Sherry can't seem to get any to load Here On da front page and Bianca's loaded Funny so Momma Sherry Got Upseted Espresso's loaded just fine in da web Album go see.

Mysty Ferret Rescue And Care House Was founded in 2004 By Our House Mom Sherry Smith and Family Sherry Smith workedIn a Dog Kennel, Rescue and Shelter Owned By Her Family Most of her Life as A Child In The Reno Area and volunteered at a animal shelter In SantaRosa, California After School and During The Summer Vacations a few times And also Volunteered at a Small Pet Adoption In Sabastapool,California and Realized that most of the time, the littlest furry ones are Sadly overlooked and forgotten About. Even in the best shelters, adoptable Ferrets, rabbits, and other small Animals often anguish Wishing for a Forever Home unnoticed in their cages while Hooman shelter visitors come only to adopt Cute cats and Sweet dogs. Sad But True In the worst of shelters, these little fur Kids and others are routinely euthanized shortly after arrival about 5 days Max, not given even the chance of a new Forever home and a full Life of Love and Care. And where there are no shelters available for unwanted little ones, many people simply set them "free", where their fate is death "Not Freedom" as Hoped by Their Human Persons That Set Them Free,"As the elements, starvation, or other animals see to that"! "Most public and private animal shelters" established to care for cats and dogs "are not equipped to properly care for the smaller mammals". And That Is Not Their Fault Either, But As a Very Sad result, these little ones suffer in shelters due to inadequate housing, improper diets, high levels of stress,Very,very low adoption rates and high euthanasia and mortality rates And This is Very sad she cry's a sad tear for each one who never found his/her forever home and would take and Keep them all If she could But "NO" she can't so that's How Mysty Ferret Rescue And Care House Came to Be to help Out And Is Non-Profit All The Way! Momma Sherry started up Da House when she and The Family learned that lots and Lots of ferrets just like us were finding themselves homeless. Some of us get out into the unknown and Then become lost or hurt. Or sometimes, just sometimes our peoples realize that they just can no longer give us the care and love we deserve and surrender us or they the mean ones That have put us out in the unknown. Then there are those of us that are neglected or abused and badly need help "Like Momma Sherry's Bianca" That Makes Momma Sherry so Sad Whatever the reason or cause, the really lucky ones get to a ferret Rescue and Care shelter, like Mysty Ferret Rescue And Rescue Care House and Many other Rescues and Shelters Geared For Ferret Fuzzy's Like 24 Caret Ferret AND Tpand so,so many others, but there is More of us than there is Shelters that's why Momma Sherry Started Her Care House To try and Her Best to help Out.At Mysty Ferret Rescue And Rescue Care House we will get the necessary medical attention we need, good food, fresh water, a comfortable clean place to snoozy (Momma Sherry Makes all our Beds), and lots of hugs and Kisses and a LiL spoiling Now and then..The adopted Like Me and Minnie the 1st ones to end up in a new Forever home where we can be happy and loved by A really nice human Family. Some of us who are too old or frail (Grumpa)will stay at Mysty Ferret Rescue And Care House but hey, that's not a bad thing! Here at da house Fuzzy's have lots of freedom, lots of other fuzzies to play with that will come and go, and our shelter Family treats us like we are very special!(Momma Sherry says We are)
Mysty Ferret Rescue And Care House operates as a Non-Profit private rescue out of her private home, providing a safe refuge to as many little fur Ferret Kids In Need around the Reno, Carson City, Nevada Region at any age, Color or size As Possible and Bealeves In Being" A NO-KILL CARE HOUSE" All Da Money's received goes back to Da Fuzzy's for their care either Medical or for food and treats and Other stuff They Need and for other neat stuff for Momma Sherry to make our beds Like Momma Sherry's Hang-a-round bed (oooohh so cool) and play Things Like the Tunnel Play Mats.! Until the Fur Kids find loving forever homes.Also Mysty Ferret Rescue And Care House Will, If space is available accept owner surrendered pet(s) in urgent need.............> Sad Times Do Come! in these cases, We Must Ask For a monetary donation Or a donation of Supplies to Help cover the costs of care until a forever home Is found.

She Sadly Passed Away
Bianca was Found on May 24, 1997 By my StepSon, My Son and My Daughters at a Local
park they were playing at They Ran Home With Her As Fas As They Could,As soon as
They got her home we all fell in love with her such a Personality she had and so Pretty
we had 3 other Fuzzy's as well Bandit,Trouble,Freckles, and we knew she was ment to be
with us we made the necessary Vet Apt for her and then I watched her and I knew something
wasn't right with her.Although she seemed to be eating, drinking and going to the litter box
ok she just did not act like the other Ferrets .The vet noted an elevated heart rate and put her
on Cefa-drops he told us to watch her.She didn't seem to get better.X-rays and blood work
taken during a follow-up visit suggested that she had cancer wich he said is not un-commen
and she was abused realy bad and it looked to him she must have been tossed out or just left
behind as she did have some open sores that were healing but needed care so he cleaned
them up put her on Prednisone and recomended lots of Love and agreed we were ment to
find Bianca. her condition continued to worsen. Subsequent testing and x-rays revealed that
Bianca had been severely injured in her chest area and abdmon and had a internal infection
on top of it all something he had never encountered. She was Placed on antibiotics, we kept
her hydrated and nourished her with Stat.Bianca had a few good Months and we actually
thought for a while that she might pull out of it (Wishful Thinking), but Most Unfortunately
and Sadly She Passed Away on September 9th,1997
Bianca you are Missed so Very Much and Thought about Often but I find Comfert In
Knowing We all Will Be Together Again Love Momma and Family!

She saved my life, was heaven sent.
I call her "Mom"; she's my best friend.
She comforts me when I am scared.

me to bed,And whispers I saved
her instead.
