I've been learning HTML for a while now and with a great friend, Ann, a new layout for the site is getting ready. Who didn't know yet, this version of the site is built using the Freewebs Easy Site Editor (or whatever it is called), but the new version of The Sims of Shangriquama is completely built up using HTML which is a coding language for (real) web pages. Once the new version will be up, all the updating will be done there but I'll be still keeping up the old version for some exclusive content that won't be added to the new The Sims of Shangriquama, such as siggies, old guestbook signings etc.
I hope you enjoy the great news just as much as I do!

I like news updates although there's no need to announce about an update every time. But hey, that's me!
So anyway, "The Orange Family" has been updated twice during this week which I personally think is very good score! Well, at first you see Noah and Norah as adults for the first time and you also see their loves seen in some childhood pictures all grown up now. Aww, the time flies by...
Well, now that my first twins have left the household, 9 Sky Avenue has gotten just too big for only 4 people and we moved into 2 Cedar Creek Circle, which can be found on ModTheSims2.com, here. Of course the version seen on the pictures in the story are much better, since there's furniture and everything's redecorated, so have fun reading it!

Weird empty places on the site

I was visiting a site today, but it loaded so slowly that it really pissed me off and I decided to download Mozilla Firefox as everyone was always talking about it as the fastest internet browser ever and all that. I really suggest you to get it, your internet-experience gets a hundred times better.
But that's not what I wanted to talk about. Now, that I see The Sims of Shangriquama in a new look, I noticed quite a lot of places where pictures overlap eachother or get lost in the text. This is why I'll add more spaces here and there, which would mean that if you're using Internet Explorer, you get a lot of blanks between text and pictures, but don't worry! Atleast can everyone see everything here after I'm done.

How come only 1000 - 1500? Well, I believe that some people have visited the site several times, and the counter only counts how many visits there are in a whole...

"The Wild House of Fat Roommates" is a story featuring everything that happens between the walls of this old house in the Downtown of Shangriquama. The house owner - Gemma Lambada - doesn't really care about the happiness of people living in her house. And the people don't need it, since they have everything to keep them satisfied, no matter if it's a kitchen full of cheeses sandwiches or a computer with lots of games in it...

At first, just as the title says, sorry. Sorry for the really small amount of updates on The Sims of Shangriquama. It's just that now that the new schoolyear has began, I don't have enough time to do that much as I could do in summer. I feel great if I do have the time to play The Sims 2. And I feel really great when I can update the site. But mostly, I can only feel great, not really great, and well, now it's all okay and I hope you understand...

Now, some better topics. "The Orange Family" has been updated! The story is bsicly the same, I only added a picture and a sentence, but there is finally the download that some of you were waiting for a quite long time. A few days left until Noah and Norah become adults, Saara and Sandra are both full of life, now that they go to private school and also have the best grades. The adults' lifetime wants are fulfilled and everything seems good. So if you'd like to, go and download The Orange Family from this page.

It's been quite a while from the last update on The Sims of Shangriquama, but now, finally, you can see a completely reorganized place for bloopers. The new albums are:
Maxis' Bloopers, containing all the bloopers made before The Sims 2 was released;
Other Players' Bloopers, featuring bloopers by simple site visitors, just like you;
Bloopers in my Game, full of blooper-snapshots made by me.
There is also a brand new web form for you to submit your bloopers, so now you can easily get on this site!

She runs around with the nickname itsabeautifulsky on TheSims2.com and decided to sign my GB the other day and this is how it all began. Now she started a site, to be more exact a forum of her own and wants to get more members and I'm sure you'd be glad to help her! New Website Buttons

Today and yesterday, I made some new, (normal looking) website buttons, so linking to The Sims of Shangriquama looks better now! These buttons are nothing more and nothing less than just the thumbnails of some snapshots made in The Sims 2 with some words above. Easily copy and paste the button you like to your own website (the link should already be inside and open in a new window, but may break); save the picture and upload it to your website or make a right-click on the button you like, click 'Properties' and copy and paste the URL if you can use it to bring up the pictures. It took lots of time, but finally, I updated The Ugly Gene story. The Kana family opens a home business, celebrates a birthday and gives birth to another baby - and most of that in rabbit-style. I spent the whole day playing with the Kana family (because I am ill and can't go to school so I have nothing better to than play The Sims 2! But hey, if I could, I wouldn't even bother to do something else!) so I hope you have something to enjoy. I was also thinking, maybe I'll put the download of the house on that page! Well, you may never know!

Saara and Sandra aren't toddlers anymore, they're kids! And yes, they still look exactly the same! There was a birthday party, that was even too loud, so the police came over! There are also two films about the party on the Movies page. During these days, I'll also be adding some more new movies to the Movies page. You will meet some totally new families in these videos. The downloads of The Orange Family are updated aswell, you don't need to go through some Rapishare pages anymore, you can just click on the link and download! Can it be easier? But for now, this is it, go on and check out the updated story and the new movies, which now have a better quality because Photobucket has been updated!

The Sims 2 Bloopers - UPDATED!

I updated The Sims 2 Bloopers with a few new pictures and a bit new way to sort them, I really hope you all enjoy. It had some errors, so I had to delete it, and start again. Now, I can't upload new pictures, again, but I think I know how I can do it without deleting The Sims 2 Bloopers again. If it works, you'll soon meet some more new bloopers! And if there should be any other technical difficulties, I tell you right away!

The Orange Family vs KOOH.Ville

I updated the story of The Orange Family and three versions of the family are available for download!!! But to have some more bandwich, I decided to remove the story about KOOH.Ville (KeepOutOfHere.Ville). Sorry if someone of you liked the beginning and wanted to know what happens, but there were really many reasons to delete it:
1) I really needed more bandwich to complete the other stories and do some other stuff.
2) KOOH.Ville has nothing to do with Shangriquama, but this site IS about Shangriquama.
3) Playing with Shangriquama is so much fun that sometimes I forget to play with KOOH.Ville so it'd always take a huge time to update!
But maybe, I repeat: MAYBE, I'll make a site for KOOH.Ville and you'll find out how the story continues. If not, I'll just write about it on The Sims of Shangriquama.
I also removed the rating systems from the site, because they had no purpose, since not much people come here and rate. I still hope you enjoy The Sims of Shangriquama!!!

Can you accept my apology? Sorry that I haven't been on for such a long time, but I have some great excuses. From the last Sunday, my computer was broken. The last week, I was in Parnu on a holiday. And the week before, I was working at my dad's cafe in Tallinn (Tallinn is the capital of Estonia). I haven't simmed a lot lately as you can probably tell so sorry for no updates. And updates will be hard to make as I have some problems with the bandwitch which means I'll have to delete some pictures. Anyway, try to enjoy the site as it is right now! CHEERS!!!

Maybe this is a bit aged news, but today I decided to enter "the sims of shangriquama" into MSN Search and MY SITE was listed there! I also had to check out other search engines and got very pleased. You see, I entered my site to the website directory about a month ago and now, we finally see the results at: Google Search, MSN Search, AlltheWeb, AltaVista and Yahoo! Search. I'm not sure, but maybe there are some more search engines that find my site, but now and here, I'm satisfied with that!!!

Hogsmeade is the home of many of the famous witches and wizards from the Harry Potter book, though there're also quite a few muggles around.
The main family in Hogsmeade are the Snapes, founded by Tobias and Eileen Prince Snape. When their son Severus married another man, they thought it was the end of the Snape line and therefore quickly adopted too children. But as it turned out, Severus being the skilled potionmaster he is, Severus and Remus both got pregnant and to this day they have 8 children together. Severus' siblings Maark and Coco also married and both had more than one child, but more about that later. In Hogsmeade almost everyone is related some way or another, as cousins married cousins. There it has been neccesary for the younger generations to go out and marry muggles, which many of them has.

The Shmurpfhnol Legacy

Soon you will see a new legacy on The Sims of Shangriquama. Well, not a new legacy, a REAL legacy. A real legacy that follows all the Legacy Rules and I really hope that not only the Legacy fans, but also all the other ones who visit the site will enjoy it. I know that the surname is a bit cruel, but the heir is born and she is a girl, so she will have a different surname once she gets married (of course, if she will propose to get engaged, she'll keep the old surname...).
There is also a bad news with the Legacy. To have some space for it, I decided to delete the Cool Stuff page. Sorry, but actually it had no purpose as the downloads didn't work...
So yeah, a few more days and the first chapter is ready for you to read!!!

That's right! The Sims of Shangriquama has a new affiliate - Neighborly Sims!!! I totally adore Neighborly Sims, because admit it, without the great site, there would be no island called Shangriquama. Or it would be on Islasegundo which is wrong...

A new story on the Stories page: KOOH.Ville. To get you rolling, here's a small intro: "From the beginning of the 60s, KOOH.Ville has been a gray and sad town hidden from the world by the Government. The people living in this small community are used with the situation and happy on their own way, but some new faces in town start to ruin the idyll by living "differently"..."

At first: Sorry! Sorry for the fact that I haven't been on lately. Well, as it is summer I spend most of my days at the beach so playing The Sims 2 and making a site is a bit too much from time to time... I will be updating a lot today so you can already wait for something more in "The Ugly Gene", "The Orange Family" and Tour of Shangriquama. I'll update the More Links section too if I'll have the time.

So much bad news in a single slap! I don't even know where to begin...
1) Remember I told you about that "Upload Error Curse" as I call it. It didn't let me upload lots to the Exchange. Well, I tried to upload simmies for several days and it also didn't work out (but atleast BodyShop didn't crash). Probably I won't be able to upload stories aswell so maybe I will put them here.
2) To put more stories here I need more bandwich. To have more bandwich I will soon delete the Built by Me section and all of the pictures it contains. Sorry!
3) And talking about stories: there will be no Crumplebottom legacy as she decided to run with scissors (I hate the day when I downloaded this object as I keep buying it all the time!!!) and died. And as you probably know, I couldn't exit without saving as it is against the Legacy Rules!

Shangriquama has moved

A first: the site stays on its own place, it's the Shangriquama island that's moving! "What? Where? How?" you might ask. Well, I downloaded a custom neighborhood from Neighborly Sims and decided to move the whole neighborhood from IslaSegundo (this neighborhood terrain probably came with Nightlife, but I'm not sure...) to Wilderness Island. You can download the SC4 Terrains for this island by clicking here. By the way, all this wouldn't been possible without SimPE as I had to restore all the relations because once a family with its lot is in the Lots and Houses Bin they lose all the relations with other sims. Right after writing this I'll be updating the Tour of Shangriquama page with new pictures. All the other stays the same!

The Sims of Shangriquama has some good news! At first the new and improved Guestbook thanks to Cbox! Beginning with the fact that it looks better and ending with the fact that it is much quicker!!!
The second good news is that with one evening this site got more than 50 visits which makes the whole number of visits go over 100!!! It is probably because I spent most of my Thursday on the BBS and my signature is "MY site, MINE: http://www.freewebs.com/mysimstown/". This also gave me an idea about something new on this site: Siggies! You can already take a look at them! Most of them are from the BBS.

Hi again!!! So many good news that I don't even know where to begin... At first, my SimPage finally reached 600 page views. Of course there are lots of SimPages that have more than 10'000 page views but I'm fully satisfied with 600.
Second, The Sims of Shangriquama reached 60 visits. Ok, this is really not much, but I'm still a bit proud...
The third good news is that Villa Naturelove reached a five-star rating. I actually thought that this would be culled in less than two weeks but I was wrong... But hey, every five-star rating makes me happy!!!
And finally, the fourth good thing to tell you is that I start writing "The Sin of the Wastermans" today! I actually have already written it some months ago, but then all the pics were deleted from my computer as I had to uninstall the game. Well, "The Sin of the Wastermans" is a story. Two scientists create a mutant in their lab - Fatface Monster. Soon he needs a wife so Edward and Bridget Wasterman kidnap Cassandra Goth who came to Strangetown hoping to find her missing mother - Bella. For more than a year everything works fine and Cass has already given birth to some bouncing babies but then a neighbor of the Wastermans finds out the horrible secret... I won't tell you more about it, you have to wait!
So yeah, soon you will find a new story on my SimPage!!!

Hi! I only want to say that there are several new families in Shangriquama: the Power family, the Sun family and the Naked family. About the last one: I made 5 naked males in Create-A-Sim and after that I made them townies. Now there are 5 crazy and naked townies with an extremly awful personality running around in Shangriquama! Oh my...

The Upload Error Curse is back!!!

Greetings friends! Well, you won't probably see any new lots from me! Atleast not on my SimPage... No, I'm not leaving the wonderful world of The Sims 2 behind!!! Just that my game crashes every time I try to upload a lot. Or actually a lot with custom content on it...
It has happened to me earlier too, to be exact in April! Well, that time I accidentaly removed all the files from The Sims 2 folder but then, to my surprise, everything worked fine! I tried to do it this time too: I made a backup of my neighborhoods and CC and then deleted The Sims 2 folder. My game loaded all the Maxis-made neighborhoods as new and everything works fine exept for I still cannot upload with CC!!! Now I restored my neighborhoods and won't even try to upload lots with CC anymore...
Now you might ask, why won't I just reinstall? Well, the fact is, that I only own Nightlife, I got The Sims 2 itself from a friend. Of course I can ask her again, but I just don't want to...
But I still can upload lots without CC, sims and stories!!! So ok, a bit sad for me and maybe for you but we'll live!!!

Finally, most of the story of the Orange family is now viewable on my site! This is not some sort of a great legacy or something, but a story that introduces you my favourite family, their life, home, looks and all sorts of other stuff! I will update the story once in a while as I find old photos and make new ones. When I will buy Open For Business (and I really hope I will) the Oranges would open their own business(es) and if another expansion comes out and I would buy it, then their life would change again, so updates are definately going to come! Today I begin with some new updates on this site, so here's a small list what I'm up to:
1) "More Links" will be much easier to use in a while, because I will make every link open in a new window with just one click, not this old "Right-click and choose Open in New Window" thing. I will also add descriptions to every link so you could know, is it a place for downloads or stories or movies or something else!
2) The story of the Orange family will be updated in a while too: you will be able to see the whole legacy beginning with Jyri's childhood and ending with the days we have right now!
3) Crumplebottom legacy! The fake Mrs. Crumplebottom I made will be trying to find some love and fulfill her lifetime want to become a Criminal Mastermind!
4) Maybe I will also update "Built by Me", so you could download my lots not only from TheSims2.com but also from this site!

The Gothic family - new in Shangriquama

Well, as you see on the picture, we have a new family living in Shangriquama - the Gothic family. Is it a coincidence that I made a family like this on 06.06.06? Actually it is, because I noticed that it is a date like this only late in the evening!!! Anyway, I'm building a strange looking castle for them so wait for some new and weird stories!!! Now let's talk about this family's look for a while. At first the skin colour: it's not custom and it is also not vampire skin. To have this skin in your game you have to open the cheat box (Ctrl + Shift + C) in the neighborhood view or in a household, type in boolprop testingcheatsenabled true, enter Create-A-Family, hold down Shift once you're in Create-A-Sim (CAS) and press N. This will allow you to use the alien and mannequin skins, NPC chlothes and much more. If you want CAS to be "normal" again, hit Shift + M once you're in CAS! After your family is ready, don't forget to turn off BoolProp! Open the cheat box and type boolprop testingcheatsenabled false. BoolProp isn't actually a cheat, it is a debbuging tool that Maxis used creating The Sims 2 and you have to be very careful using it!!! There are lots of tutorials on the net about BoolProp and you should check them out before you use it! Btw, I got the chlothing of the father using this neat trick, but the eyes are just custom and some makeup!
So, now it is time for the names: Father - Huck; Mother - Shanine; Son - Spencer; Daughter - Linda.

New story on my SimPage - "Wonderful Garden"

From the 5th of June there is a story on my SimPage called "Wonderful Garden". Amber Garden shows you how to make a typical lot look like a garden to enjoy and with only a few easy steps an empty piece of ground turns into a magical place to relax, think, swim, grill or make some parties!!! Different ways for beauty with or without cheats and with or without custom content! In a while I will also upload the lot in its full beauty! You can read the story here!
TIP: To see all the pictures from the beginning to the end of the story, not some sort of blank screens and half cut pictures, you should wait for the story to load till the end. There is a place above the start button on the screen of your computer where it should say "Done" once the story is loaded! Have fun!!!

EDIT: On the 7th of June I updated the story and added a few more things to make the story even better!!!
