The Adventures of Baby Kim and Co.

It was Saturday afternoon and I decided to go out and do my weekend grocery shopping and such, leaving the Kiddies to their own devices......


"I really wish I had a sister to play in the dark with. I love all my other sisters, but they just don't have the same interests as I do. I want someone to play dress up with my bat dolls, someone to play hide and go seek in the dark with........" said Myotis.


I guess I should have passworded the computer........

"Oohhh Auntie Rita and Uncle Ed have Kiddies up for adoption!! I have to take a look!!"

"Hmmmmm too dark......I'd lose at hide and go seek everytime!"

 

 

"ACK! Too pink! She's cute....but pink is NOT my thing!!"

 

"Wow...... blue, I like blue, but she's not what I'm looking for." *sigh*

 

"Awwwwww look at the sleeping baby, she's adorable......but BORRRRRRRRRRING. I bet she sleeps all the time like Oz and he's BORRRRRRRRRRING. I can't get that kid to wake up for anything! I tried putting my rubber bats in his ears.......nothing."

 

"Next auction........."

 

"HOLY MOTHER OF NIGHT BATMAN! My eccholocation senses are tingling! That's her! That's the sister I've been looking for!! YAY!!!!!!!!!"

 

"180 bucks eh? I'll just use mom's credit card, she won't even notice!! MINE!!!!!!!!"

 

"I DID IT! Thanks to my batty quick click of the mouse, I got her! YAY!!!!!!!!!"

 

"Hey guys! Look what I just bought!!! I got us a new sister...someone I can play with in the dark and read my bat stories too!! But we have to keep this quiet, I used mom's credit card so no one tell her okay?"

 

"Oohh a new sister? My lips are sealed!" exclaimed Emma.
All the other Kiddies nodded in agreement that they would keep quiet about their new secret sister.

 

5 days later.........

I was coming home from work and noticed a package sitting infront of my door......

 

I took the package inside and plunked it onto the table.

"Anyone know anything about this package? It says it's from Ed and Rita?"

Myotis jumped up and gawked at the package.
Emma was excited too.

 

"She's here! She's here!"

 

"Who's here Myotis? What have you been up to?"

 

"MOMY!!!!! MYOTIS USEDED YOR CWEDIT CAWD AND BUYDED A NEW SISTA!!!!!" tattled Baby Kim.

"BABY KIM!!!!!!!!! You tattle tail!!"

 

Myotis ripped into the box and starting pulling out all the packaging stuff.

 

Moments later she was face to face with her new sister.

 

"OH MOM!! Isn't she gorgeous? Isn't she perfect?"

"Yes Myotis she indeed is perfect. And I'm happy that you are so excited about her. But next time you want a sister, all you have to do is ask me you know. No more using my credit cards without asking ok??"

I tried to give Myotis a stern look, but I just couldn't do it. I too love this new addition to the family!

"So Myotis, what is her name?"

"CRICKET! I'm gonna call her Cricket!"

 

"Hi Cricket! Welcome home sis!"

 

Baby Kim got up for a closer look. She wanted to see who this new kid was.
"Oohh she gots bwack eyes! Spooky! Me wikes her!"

 

"She is cool momy! I fink she should stay wif us!"

 

Myotis took Cricket over to meet her new family.

"HI CRICKET!" yelled all the Kiddies.

 

Even Captain Howdy was impressed with the new "dark" sister.

 

After all the introductions to the rest of the Kiddies, Myotis and Cricket went off to see what they could find to get into.
I could hear Myotis showing Cricket all the bats in the hallway and the two of them rifling through the bat magazines.

I think Cricket is going to fit in just fine here and I'm happy to see Myotis so excited about her.
Don't they look like they belong together?
