Edited from a find of approximately 200 letters written by one soldier to his mother and sister during WW2.
They provide a very human account of the thoughts of a young man away from home for the first time and
missing his mother's cooking.
I would like to return these important historical documents to his family if they can be traced.
The letters formed part of a larger collection of ephemera bought at auction and I assert
the right to reproduce selected excerpts, and hold the copyright in trust for the family.
