Trainers, Janine Hansing and Emily Uldrich, provide private and group lessons by appointment 7 days a week.
Riders are accepted at age 4 and up, and lessons range from beginner to advanced on English, Western or Gaited horses. Lessons are catered to the rider's specific goals and interests -- from trail riding to the show ring.
Students enjoy playing horseback games including stick polo, pony express, bust-a-balloon, relay races & obstacle courses.

Lessons on our horses
· 1 Hour Private Lesson- $35 to bring your own horse, and $40 to ride one of our lesson horses
· Group Lesson- $30/person to bring your own horse, and $35/person to ride one of our lesson horses
Myhio Haven Horse Farm offers lessons locally at private farms.
A Trip Fee based on mileage is charged for lessons at your farm.

Sadie

Sadie is a 16 year old, 17.1 hand, black Belgian Warmblood mare. Sadie is an awesome horse, great for children and adults, beginners and more experienced riders alike! Sadie is a smooth jumper that easily clears a 3'6" fence, and she is also a favorite of all the kids even though she is the tallest horse in the barn. Sadie loves trail riding, playing horseback games, and riding double! Sadie has shown in Schooling Jumpers (3'6") at the Kentucky Horse Park. Students also show Sadie in our Show Jumping and Cross-Country Horse Show Series -- Sadie won the Beginner Division Championship at Myhio Haven Horse Farm's Fall Festival Open 2006 with 4-H advisor, Sandy Mann riding (pictured above)!

Sadie is back from maternity leave, and is a favorite in lessons -- we all love her precious baby Little Mack!
Grandma's Prayer

Grandma is a 13year old, 14.3 hand, black Tennessee Walking Horse mare. Grandma does it all!!! She is a safe children’s horse who is a favorite in lessons. She plays all the games, including balloon popping, stick polo, and Cowboys and Indians (cap guns, dart guns and bow-n-arrows!). Grandma is a one-of-a-kind horse, and Grandma’s great sense of humor and confidence quickly builds confidence in her riders. Not only does Grandma possess a smooth natural running walk and rack, she is also trained to trot and canter, and has even jumped 4’! Grandma has shown in Jumpers at 2’9”, and has even won 4th place at the Horse Trials hosted by Manana Farms in Mt. Orab, OH at the Beginner Novice Level (2’7”). Grandma also won 7th place at the Beginner Novice Division at the Octoberfest Horse Trials at the Kentucky Horse Park October 27th and 28th 2007! Grandma has also schooled the cross-country jumps at the Kentucky Horse Park up to 3’3”! Grandma versatile teacher who has experience showing in Hunt Seat, Easy Gaited Pleasure, Jumpers, and Eventing. Students also show Grandma walking over small obstacles and jumping at Myhio Haven Horse Farm's Show Jumping and Cross-Country Horse Show Series.
Apple

Apple is a 3 yr. old, 14.2 hand, bay Tennesse Walking Horse mare. Apple is Grandma's baby, and Grandma must have taught her everything she knows, because Apple has been a dream to work with. We started riding her in March 2009, and Emily rode her in the Memorial Day Parade - an exciting event for Apple's birthday! Apple is good for beginners & more advanced riders in lessons & she is learning how to canter poles and execute lateral & diagonal movements. We are looking forward to Summer 2010, when Apple will be old enough to start over fences! Apple is also offered for sale.
'Lil Bo Peep

Bo Peep is a 8 year old, 14.3 hand, chocolate Rocky Mountain Horse mare with a flaxen mane and tail. Bo Peep is a gorgeous girl with a big heart! Peep is gentle and kind with children, and is also a fun ride for an advanced rider. Peep plays all the games and is great for everything from trail riding to jumping and cross-country up to 2'6"! Bo Peep is a special horse owned by Breanna Burton, who has trail ridden with her extensively, trained her to gait naturally, as well as trot and canter! Breanna also won Beginner Division Champion with her at Myhio Haven Horse Farm’s 2006 Spring Jubilee Show Jumping and Cross-Country Horse Show. Students also show Bo Peep walking over small obstacles and jumping at our Horse Shows!
Venus

Venus is a 7 year old, 15.1 hand, palomino Rocky Mountain Horse mare. Venus is a beauty and a blast to ride! Venus is a great mount for children and adults alike. Venus enjoys horseback games, trail riding, and jumping. Venus is a special horse that was broke and trained by Myhio Haven Horse Farm's trainers, Janine Hansing and Emily Uldrich. Venus is owned by Breanna Burton, who has enjoyed trail riding and jumping her. Venus even participated in our first Show Jumping and Cross-Country Horse Show in 2005, ridden by Garett Cornet. Venus is back from maternity leave, and was riden in the Introductory Division by Ashley Shields in Myhio Haven Horse Farm's 2009 Spring Jubilee Open!

Helen is a 19 year old, 16.2 hand, liver chestnut Thoroughbred mare. Helen is a skilled horse that is well trained in Jumpers and Dressage. Helen is a powerful horse who is a blast for an intermediate/advanced rider. Helen has had experience showing in Low Junior Amateur Jumpers up to 4’3” in her younger years, and is still competitive at 2’6”—Helen was Grand Champion in Debut Jumpers at the Deleware Horse Show 2007! Helen also competed in her first Horse Trials this year, and really enjoyed Eventing. In her younger days, Helen schooled most of the Training Level (3’3”) Cross-Country jumps at the Kentucky Horse Park. Helen is brave and confident for Cross-Country and loves trail riding. Helen is also well trained in lateral and diagonal movements including shoulder and haunches-in, leg yielding, half-pass, and turn on the forehand and haunch. She is an excellent teacher for an experienced rider! Helen even competed in Myhio Haven Horse Farm's 2009 Spring Jubilee Open with Janine's sister, Lilly, riding! Helen is also for sale.
