Abbey Road

Abbey is a 10 yr. old Bay Thoroughbred Mare, standing 16.1 hands.  Abbey's lineage includes the great Seattle Slew, and her winnings on the track were close to $50,000.00-- her full brother has won over $120,000 as a 4 yr old!  Abbey has been off the track since May 2006, and joined us in September 2006.  Abbey is very quiet and loving for a thoroughbred, and is absolutely gorgeous!  She has started over fences, and is currently jumping 3'6" -- Abbey is clearly athletic enough to advance beyond 4'.  Abbey has jumped most of the cross country jumps up to 2'9" at the Kentucky Horse Park.  Abbey has clean X-rays of both front legs and hocks, is up to date on vaccinations, has had her teeth floated, and has a negative Coggin's.  Abbey would be a nice jumper prospect for an intermediate/advanced rider.  Abbey Road attended the 2007 Deleware Horse Show July 21 & 22 in Deleware, OH and placed in Debut Jumpers Stakes (2'3").  Abbey also attended the 2007 Labor Day Weekend Delaware Horse Show and placed in Beginner Jumpers (2'6"-2'9").  Abbey even competed and placed in the Starter Divison Horse Trials at the Kentucky Horse Park October 27th and 28th 2007! At the same Horse Show one year late, Abbey moved up to the Beginner Novice level and won 6th place out of 12 riders in October 2008. Abbey recently showed in the Beginner Novice level at the Manana Farms Field Trials Horse Show. Helen

Helen is an 18 year old, 16.2 hand, liver chestnut Thoroughbred mare. Helen loves her job! She is an excellent mover and is willing to jump over anything. No one believes that she is 18 years young! Helen is difficult for some to handle on the ground, however. She needs an experienced handler for grooming. Helen loves to travel and show off, so loading into a trailer is no problem as long as you're going trail riding or to a horse show. Helen's brave attitude stays with her on the trails, in large groups or all by herself. Helen's main interest are eventing, jumper's, and dressage, although once a year she has fun playing a western pleasure horse at our county fair. Last year, Helen was Grand Champion Jumper at the Delaware county horse show series. Helen does it all, and with an experienced handler and someone who wants a hard working horse that loves to be ridden, Helen is perfect.

Rusty is a 2 year old, 14.2 hand, registered sorrel Quarter Horse gelding.  Rusty is a sweetheart that loves attention and being brushed.  Rusty is comfortable wearing a saddle and bridle, and is currently carrying a rider at the walk and trot, and is learning the aids.  Rusty lounges nicely at the walk, trot, and canter.  Rusty shows natural talent over fences too!  Rusty bravely walks over a tarp, bridge, small logs, and through the creek!  Rusty will make a great children's Hunter/Jumper pony, a western pleasure prospect, or any discipline desired. Smokey is a 3 yr. old, 14 hand high, grey Tennessee Walking Horse gelding. Smokey has started lounging and wearing the saddle and bridle. Smokey has good looks and a great attitude to match. Mya -- Sold!!! Congratulations Carlie!!!

Mya is a 2 yr. old bay Tennessee Walking Horse cross yearling filly.  Mya has started lounging and wearing the saddle and bridle, and is a fast learner.  She is bold and inquisitive, and bravely walks over tarps, poles and logs.  Mya is the result of an accidental pregnancy from a group of horses we rescued.  Mya is not registered, but she does come with a certified pedigree!  Her mother is Pleasure (recently sold), and her father was Chili, another one of the rescue group.  Chili's full brother, mother and father were also part of the same group, and all of them were exceptional horses, easy to train and ride, that found loving homes with children.  Mya will no doubt follow suit, as she has been friendly, affectionate and easy to handle so far!  Mya is easy to lead and comes when you call her in the pasture.  Mya loves to be brushed, is good to pick her feet, and stands well for the farrier.  Mya gaits naturally in the field and will surely take after her smooth mother under saddle.  Mya is up to date on shots, wormings and trimmings.  Mya is for sale for $300.00.  -- Sold!!!

Kate is 12 year old, 14.2 hand chestnut Tennessee Walking Horse mare.  Kate is a lovely riding horse for children and adults.  She possesses a smooth, natural gait that she maintains completely barefoot with her wonderful feet.  Kate is great -- English, Western or Bareback!  Kate is an ideal horse for almost any discipline.

Annie -- Sold!!! Congratulations Angel!!!

Annie turned five years old April 30, 2007.  She is a 14.2 hand high, black registered American Paint Horse, registry number 716,513, and her registered name is Sweet Black Jack.  She is a very sweet little mare with a lot of heart.  Annie lounges nicely and has good ground manners.  She has just started under saddle and is doing well.  Annie has had her teeth floated, and her wolf teeth pulled.  Annie is for sale for $800.00. -- Sold!!!

Pleasure is a 6 year old, 14.3 hand, chestnut Tennessee Walking Horse Mare.  Pleasure has a smooth natural gait, and is a true pleasure on the trails!  Pleasure loves to play in the creek, to play horseback games like flag relay, and to walk over the small logs in our Cross-Country Course.  Pleasure is good for children and is used regularly in lessons, and she is also strong enough to carry a larger rider and is fun for adults as well.  Pleasure rides both English and Western, and is learning how to canter over small fences in our Jumper and Cross-Country Courses. 

Pleasure made her showing debut at our Fall Festival Open Show Jumping and Cross-Country Horse Show Series on October 13th, 2007!  Pleasure is current on all veterinary and farrier care.  She is an easy keeper with very nice feet and a natural barefoot gait that does not require shoes!  Pleasure is for sale for $900.00. -- Sold!!!

Teddy -- Sold!!!  Congratulations to his new owners, the Gibbs'!

Teddy's Smokin' Rocket is a registered APHA gelding that just turned 4 years old.  Teddy stands at 14.3 hands high, and is absolutely stunning to look at.  Teddy is a sweet horse that loves people.  He has started under saddle both English and Western and is a quick learner so far.  He is quiet and fun to work with.  Teddy rides outside in an open field alone and in groups.  Teddy has good ground manners, leads easily, and lounges perfectly.  He loves to be brushed and petted, and he comes when you call him in the pasture.  Teddy is good for feet picking and stands for the farrier.  Teddy has had his wolf teeth pulled, teeth floated, and has been vaccinated, wormed, and trimmed regularly.  Teddy has been treated for EPM but it was the mildest case the vet had seen.  He has made a full recovery and loves going for long walks on the trails.

Lucky Sovran -- Sold!!!  Congratulations to his new owners for finding a great 4-H prospect!

Lucky Sovran, aka Spitfire, is a two year old, bay, 16.1 hand high registered American Saddlebred gelding.  Spitfire has had three months professional training at Myhio Haven Horse Farm.  Spitfire is continuing his training riding saddleseat, english, and western.  He is comfortable with walking, troting, and gaiting under saddle, and has a smooth canter on the lounge line.  Spitfire loves to show off, and willingly walks over a tarp, cavalettis, logs, and poles.  He is good for bathing, clipping, and grooming.  Spitfire loves attention and is very affectionate both on the ground and under saddle.  Being a tall two year old, he will need an experienced handler and continued training.  Although Spitifire is a beauty, he would do best in a home that will spoil and pamper him, mainly riding for pleasure or on the trails.  Spitfire stands for the farrier, and is current on shots, wormings, and teeth floating.  Spitfire is for sale for only $500.00 to a good home. -- Sold!!!
