hello loves her tunnel | the real hello kitty. on november 1, 2007, i adopted a 3 month old solid white kitten from the houston SPCA. i named her "hello" after my favorite cartoon character "hello kitty" whose birthday happened to be on the very same day. to read about hello's many talents, see hello's story. cat toilet training? i heard it was possible to teach a cat to use a human toilet and the thought of litter not being tracked throughout the house anymore was too fantastic. i was finding it in my bed! i decided to read everything i could find about it on the web (and there is a lot out there). after much research about different toilet training methods, diy, and commercially available training kits, i decided that hello was a perfect candidate for the following reasons: (1) she is young (5 months when we started) and still adaptable, (2) she is trainable, and (3) she is eager to please. it was also good timing for me as i had a lot of free time to commit to this. during my research and prep for toilet training, i read about clicker training and its benefits. it was definitely something else that i wanted to attempt. i began toilet training and clicker training hello in early january 2008. keep track of hello's progress with toilet training and clicker training in hello's potty training blog, please leave comments or suggestions if you have any. for a summarized overview of hello's progress, go to the progress page. for links to other toilet training & clicker training resources, see the links page. for more photos of the sweet hello kitty, go to her photo album. and please sign hello's guest book before you leave.
