Big white Mary Jane shoes Short black dress Black stockings Ever-present four black cats. Emily is anti-cool, a subculture of one, and a follower of no one but herself. She’s the anti-hero for the Do it Yourself movement. Her favorite phrase is “Get Lost!” - both an invitation to travel to unknown places and an instruction to “Take a hike!” How will you recognize her? Maybe you’ll spot her long black hair, or her black eyes staring at you from under her bangs. Surely you’ll notice that she’s dressed all in black, except for her big white Mary Jane shoes. You won’t miss the four black cats that are always with her. Maybe you’ll see a slingshot in her hand – right before the rock hits you.

Menacing meow Loves cat naps to rest her tired bones Been around the block The Leader of the pack Born on May 13th Hangs close to Emily Old school Mystery is the Leader of the Pack, and hangs closest to Emily. She was born on May 13, but no one knows how many years ago. You can easily spot her by the star-shaped scar where one eye used to be. This old school kitty has the most menacing meow, because she’s been around the block and knows the score. Watch out - she loves cat naps to rest her tired bones, but she’ll make you sorry if you wake her.

Miles is the dark creative genius of the Posse, born on a stormy April 13 under a full moon. Wheeling and dealing, he knows how to make a plan happen, and is known to all as the fastest cat in town. He can improvise his way out of any scary situation. In battle, he always leaves his mark – and X marks the spot where his eye used to be.
Emily: Hey Miles. We need to sneak the transpositer into the flux capacitor tonight at midnight. But keep it on the down low or we’re busted.
Miles: I think we understand each other. And (wink, wink) we never had this conversation.

Sabbath is the new school kitty, the youngest member of the Posse. He was born on December 3 – a birthday he shares with another rocker! He shows his youth by saying “dude” a lot, rocking out, and looking for trouble – and usually finding it. Emily: So that explains the battle scar on your ear?
Sabbath: Dude. You shoulda seen the other cat.
Emily: Sabbath, why are you always off in the distance?
Sabbath: Sometimes you gotta roam to find adventure!

NeeChee is the Posse’s thinker and schemer. His birthday is August 25 – a momentous day in the history of philosophy indeed! The slyest of Emily’s cats, he rarely looks you in the eye; that’s just the way of the Nihilist…He’s also a great lockpicker with those six-toed paws of his. And he’s the only member of the Posse who’s not pure black – the tip of his tail is tainted with white stripes!Emily: NeeChee, what is the meaning of life? Who is my real father? Am I gonna get sick? What are my lucky numbers today?
