My Crazy Mutts

home of the fab four

Chester

This is chester, a Hungarian Vizsla, sadly he passed away 3 years ago, he was my first agility dog and a real superstar. Chester did breed showing until he was 18 months, he did very well, then I saw an advert for agility classes and thought I'd give it a go, we went along it was great fun and Chester loved it. After only two months training we went to our first show, he got just 5 faults in his first class. I was now well and truly bitten by the agility bug, stopped showing and put all my spare time into agility training.

Although Chester never quite made it to senior, he won many trophies and qualified for lots of finals, including the ABC finals at Olympia, where he played up to the crowd, took off like an idiot, leapt from the contacts and got the biggest cheer of the night (bless him!) Needless to say we ended up coming last. On the whole he was very reliable and we rarely came home from a show without a prize, he taught me a lot and I have a lot to thank him for, without him I would have never started doing agility, I wouldn't have Kate, Molly, Roo or Quiche and I wouldn't have met all the great friends that I now have, Thanks Chessy, God bless XX
