***UPDATED***
I will be racing this year at various events. On my schedual page, you will see where I intend to race. I have some new sponsors, new ride, pretty much new everything! So be sure and check back for updates often. I will have a full schedual once all tracks have released them.
Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Ryan Moore. I have been an ATV rider and racer for several years now. I began on a Yamaha Blaster only racing a select number of races. Once I realized that this is the sport I wanted to do, I traded of the 2 stroke for a 4 stroke TRX400EX. After only a few days to get used to the new power, I raced at South Fork Dirt Riders in Taylorville Illinois. After having a bad start but making my way up to 5th, I knew I could now run with the leaders if not win. On the following weekend, I raced at Midwest Motosports in Kahoka Missouri. My home track where I began. I took the overall win with a win in both motos as well as holeshots. For the next few weeks I would dominate here. Missing only one race due to engine trouble. I found that missing only 1 can hurt you bad in points, finishing the season in 4th place. I also ran many races at South Fork that year. Never won one there, but had great finishes never out of the top 5 but a few races. Out of 32 racers, I ended that season in 11th in points. Had it not been for the local series that I was dedicated to, we may have finished in the top spot. Thru the years, I have learned the responsibilites of a racer. You must be a respectable rider on as well as off the track! If you win races due to beating and banging on others, you have no business in the sport. For sponsors, you have to be professional. Carry yourself with a winning attitude no matter what the outcome is of a race day. Sponsors do not want to hear about how their rider walked away from a child asking for an autograph. You must keep your machine and yourself in a clean and respectable manner. Would someone from Factory Honda ask you if you want a full ride wearing dirty clothes, a tore up machine, and mangy hair? Probably not. So keep it clean (your apperance and machine), respect others and be as professional as you can be! You never know who is watching...
A touch about my family.
I have a wife of near 8 years who is very supportive of me. She has been with me for every race and remindes me after every time I come in of what I am doing. She smiles. I have 4 awesome children. Zackery, my oldest is 8. He has been my number one fan from the get go. Every weekend he asks me if we are going racing. Even with snow on the ground. He doesn't really understand the concept of teh season's yet. Next are my twin girls. Yep, twins. Amber and Breeanna are 6. They are not really into racing much. They are more amused at what everyone else is doing to watch. Even if I am the only one riding. If someone is next to us, the girls talk to them. Finally, my youngest. Cody who turned 3 this year. He loves to see anything move fast, ride in or on anything faster, and moves as fast as I can. Lot of fast's there. He is so full of energy it is hard not to laugh at him. If I am sitting on the quad, he comes over and says "Daddy, I want to ride!" with an ear to ear smile. That is what it's all about to me. Seeing the little ones smile. Thats about all for me in a nut shell. I would like to thank everyone who has made this possible for me. Without racing, I would be really bored... so to speak.
My machine:
This year I will be on a purpose built YFZ450. It features JB +3 Long travel arms, Custom Axis triple rates converted to ZPS by TCS/Race Tech, Galfer SS Braided lines, Fasst Flex bars with Spider grips, ASV pro levers, PowerMadd handgaurds, and a Tusk deadman, stock plastics with Attack graphics custom number plates/numbers, stock swingarm mounted by a stock rear shock converted to ZPS by TCS/Race Tech, Stock hubs, rotors, calipers, etc... AC pro peg nerfs and an AC Mudscreen bumper and rear grab bar. All of the motor components are protected by a full chasis skid plate by AC. Motor components are a Tusk full clutch system, Cam mod, Carb spec. jetted for a Curtis Sparks full exhaust system. The carb also has a Tusk fuel screw for quick adjustments. For wheels and tires, I have a full set of Hipper Carbon Fiber wheels. Dual beadlock rears and single fronts. Mounted on teh rears are a set of ITP MXR6 18x8 tires, and on teh front, a set of Kenda MXC's 20x10. The axle is also extended +4 inches thanks to the RPM DominatorII axle with RPM hubs. For now, that is pretty much all there is for mods. As more are added, I will update acordingly.
Feel free to comment about the site. If you feel something is offensive, off beat, or don't belong on a certain page. If you have a photo of you riding, know of someone who lost their lives riding or racing, I would be more then happy to add it to the right spot. If there are any questions on how to get started racing, what machine to get, or anything out of the ordinary, you guessed it, drop me a line.
