Mwembeya. A land of chaos and yet, a land of order. Home to the big cats, Mwembeya is a land of lush forests and open valleys, very like an ancient Scotland might once have been. The big cats live together here, keeping to their own kind yet interacting with the others. They are friends, partners, allies or enemies. It has always been so and always will be.
There are three areas within Mwembeya, Ukuhlwa, Inyanga and Ubusuku, each ruled by a lord and a lady. There are no distinctions between good and evil, no separations, for each place contains those that are pure of heart as well as those that are ice-hearted.
The Mwembeyans have their own myths and tales and their own gods and heroes. Their divine beings are brothers; Ayanga and Tunuka, ghostly albino lions. They are proud noble creatures but are apt to mad rages and wrong deeds. Therefore, they are both good and evil, like most of the inhabitants, they show that each and every Mwembeyan has the capacity to do good or evil.
The Mwembeyans also have an old prophecy, first spoken by the hero Held. It goes thus:
When the moon blazes with fire and the sun freezes cold,
When winter attacks the land with his frosty hold,
The great gods will walk among us,
Powers will be given in the dark and the dusk,
Rise out of the flames, rise out of the fire,
Rise out of the dark, rise out of the mire,
Those who are chosen, those who are true,
The fate of Mwembeya hangs with you.

It is said that this prophecy foretells the coming of a great evil, of Ayanga turning upon his brother and taking the wrong side. It foretells that only the mortals of Mwembeya can bring the gods together again.
And now, the moon is seen as red as night falls and the sun is failing. A harsh winter falls upon Mwembeya and a divide of faith is beginning to appear. Some follow Ayanga’s changing moods, while still others follow Tunuka. And the only ones who can repair the divide are the inhabitants of Mwembeya. The only ones who can bring the gods back together are YOU.
