Text: 1 Corinthians 13:1-7

If I spoke in the tongues of men and angels but have not love, my voice is a resounding gong or clanging cymbal. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I am nothing. Love is patient, love is kind; it does not envy, it is not proud. It is not rude; it is not self-seeking; it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil, but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes.

The text of 1 Corinthians 13 is very inspirational and, more so than many other biblical passages, has the ability to arouse different affections within the reader. Simple Truths is a musical attempt to bring to mind the same thoughts and emotions that one feels when reading the text.
