Lamb of God portrays the relationship between God and humankind. The opening is a plea for God's mercy, which leads into a turbulent middle section that reveals humans' need for this mercy. This section's text (Isaiah 53:6) juxtaposes the image of Christ as the Lamb with people as lost sheep. The final section concludes with the promise of peace.
